Beach front access, sleeping with the waves in the back? perfection

It was just fantastic. Right on the beach with the endless roar of huge waves, clean sand, hammocks, beach beds, plenty of shade, a breeze, clean white sheets, quality fans in the rooms, charming rustic touches, but also thoughtful modern ones - like plenty of outlets! The staff managed to both keep a clean, quiet, orderly place while also having a live-and-let-live vibe. They were all kind and helpful. This is a great place to curl up with a book or drift off to sleep to the sound of the ocean. We can't wait to go back - and for longer next time!

This is a unique lodging with incredibly creative architecture located right on the beach. Our room had a large balcony amidst birds, trees, and the sound of the surf, with a close up view of the beach and ocean. Comfortable and shaded lounge seating is on the beach. There is a full kitchen available for making your own meals. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, informational, and talkative--and they speak English if you need/want that. All in all, a great experience. It's also on the only street and close to all restaurants, etc. Fantastic broad beach. We want to go back!

Everything about Ecocabanas Bambu is just perfect. For us it really is the perfect stay in San Agustinillo: It feels perfectly integrated into nature. At the same time you are directly by the beautiful beach and the set-up with bedchairs and hammocks is super cozy. We loved it and Memo, the owner, is a real sweetheart! He went out of his way to make our stay perfect, even arranging our boat trip to see the dolphins!

There is nothing bad i could say about Ecocabanas Bambu but if you are looking for luxury you might be better off somewhere else. The only thing you might add is that there is no restaurant within the property, although next to it there are plenty of options. Besides, there is a great kitchen if you are equipped to do your own cooking. You'll have a great time thats for sure.

Perfect location right on the beach. Rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The property has a very communal feel and the staff were wonderful. They were very helpful in arranging transportation, massages and giving local tips. There are plenty of beach beds, chairs and hammocks both in the sun and in shade which made for a perfect way to spend the day on the water. I loved the communal kitchen with a coffee maker and other amenities. Plus there were a number of doggie and kittie friends that made it feel like home. Bambu is truly a very special place and you feel so welcomed right as you arrive. Amazing value.

beach chairs could be upgraded need more than one wine glass in kitchen! plastic would be ok. would love it if staff would have a pot of coffee on for guests in the morning (just a thought; I know it’s available a short walk down the road).

Great people, lovely spot and homely atmosphere. has it's own kitchen which can be used to make some lovely healthy food for yourself. memo was a great host. look forwards to hanging out again.

Had a Wonderfull time here! spacious open bamboo room straight at the best beach. Excellent location. The balcony is so chill it became the main hangout. Staff is very friendly and the place is well maintained. Highly recommend to get your chill
