The room was cold, a member of staff came in at 2am in the morning to check the heaters as they were not working in the room, there was no kettle and they hotel room was not very clean.

No heating, no settle ( had to be asked for) Staff member had to come into the room at 2am to check the radiators. Not very clean

There was no sign of cleaning probably since the place opened. Blood on the lamp, bedding and towels are dirty. Empty crips bags, and bloody plaster under the beds. couldn’t take a shower as we were worried about catching something.

I've stayed at this hotel for 12 years and though basic, its rooms are adequate, there are desks to work off, wifi is excellent, 24 staff cover means its safe and secure and there is free off road parking. The staff are excellent, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them

Can't really think of anything negative otherwise I wouldn't have stayed so often for so long

The Manager was friendly and first receptionist on our first day. They was extremely helpful. The 2nd receptionist was unhelpful and rude. The 1st receptionist went out of her way to help me and my sister. The manager changed our room on arrival at no extra cost. There are no lifts in the building. We could not manage 2 flights of stairs!! The manager gave us a room on the first floor. It was still difficult as my sister as she is disabled. The manager did carry our bags up the stairs. Unfortunately the room was not prepared for us. No heating was on ,no tv remote , room was unclean no towels either. I had emailed a head and asked for single beds. I also email to ask if there was a lift and parking. We got no response to my email.

location was not clear so we had been driving around in circles. The hotel is behind the petrol station and up and a alley way off Mare street. It would be much better if the direction was added to the hotel information. We found Mare street. But had no idea you needed to go through the ally way to access the hotel. A clear sign below the hospital sign would have been very helpful and useful for any other future visitor. The reception Area is clean but needs higher seating for people who have disabilities. There is a very low level sofa which is not useful for people with disabilities to seat on or get back off again. The stair case is dangerous as it's all marble. Additional handrails on the right side of the stair case would be beneficial and would prevent slips and falls when coming back down the stair case. The room we stayed in was dirty . 1 bed had been slept in!! Somebody had left their underwear on the radiator to dry. The sink was filthy looked like make up or coffee had been left in it. No heating was on. The cups were very small glasses so you could not get a decent cup of tea. Cups and sauces or mugs would be better. The toilet system was making a dreadful nose. The hand basin is right in front in off the toilet. It was difficult to access the toilet. Their was no towels until l asked for them. I was given to 2 small towels. Their should have been at least a hand towel each and a bath towel and a bath mat for the floor. The carpets also need a good clean and dust cleaned from the draws and around the pictures. We didnt attempt to even have shower it was to small to move around. The bed was comfortable my bed was clean. I felt cold as the quilt was very thin!! It was a summer quilts l think. An additional blanket would have been useful or a warmer quilt.

The location was convenient.

There was mould in the bathroom, the furniture hadn't been dusted which meant our clothes got dirty. The walls were so thin we could hear everything. The curtains were falling off the railings. There were tea and coffee sachets, but no kettle provided. The shower had no pressure and the toilet didn't flush properly.
