I wasn’t given a check in process prior to arrival, and when I tried to contact the property owners they didn’t answer their phone. Spent over an hour waiting in the foyer of the building until I finally got contact with them. Finally checked in after that.

The room was clean, the location was brilliant.

The reason I scored so low is purely based on the staff. Upon arriving I had been given no indication on how to check in. When I tried to contact the owner upon arriving i couldn't hear them, I kept asking for them to speak louder as the connection was bad and they kept hanging up. They eventually gave me vague instructions over the phone on how to collect the keys. When I got in I then had to call again as the pin code to my room were incorrect and so were one of the other renters in the other room. I was also told upon arriving I needed to pay $100 deposit for cleaning & damage which was never relayed to me until then. They sent me an invoice to pay which I was uncomfortable giving my card details to a site that was outside booking.com official site, but they kept hounding me for the money which I eventually paid. The money took forever to come back into my account and again when I tried to contact them to see when it would arrive I would speak to someone on the phone who couldn't speak English and kept hanging up or a 1 word text reply. The money eventually did get refunded. 4 days after I check out I got a text with the instructions on how to check in and again more calls asking where I was, I kept explaining ny booking was for last week and they hung up. Would never stay again. Better to just pay the extra.

The apartment is located in the centre of the Canberra central, so it's next to all the shops. Very convenient to get all the stuffs.
