Staff really went the extra mile; the cleaners who arranged.our room so lovingly and the catering staff who looked after my daughter's dietary needs. We will come back!

Perfectly decent stay although a little dated in regards to furniture and bathroom design. Pillows weren't particularly comfortable and were small. Check-in was good but as we were there for a family event elsewhere we didn't use much else.

Stay was great, stayed 2 nights but each night were seperate bookings, girl at the reception combined the 2 bookings so i could be in the same room for the 2 nights.
Only downside was the aircon was either weak or not working properly in the room. But i was barely in the room long enough for it to effect my overall stay.

A couple of negatives here; the hot-tub (a major factor in the decision to book here) was barely tepid and not comfortable to sit in and wheelchair access while available is not the easiest.
However, the jewel in the Argyle's crown is the staff. Every member of staff we encountered during our visit was exceptional. Attentive and genuine, they made our stay more enjoyable. The food was very good too, mostly traditional fare, with generous portions and not over-priced.
Our room was exceptionally clean and well appointed with a large comfortable bed, iron, kettle etc.
And finally, breakfast, an extremely comprehensive hot and cold buffet affair. Again, attentive staff on hand giving good orientation and ensuring the buffet was constantly refreshed and topped up.

The hotel in general was very clean
Our bathroom door would not shut. This was reported and we were told it would be dealt with after our stay.
If we return to Glasgow we would stay there again.

Our stay was excellent! I would’ve given 5stars if the hot tub was at a hotter, or more warmer comfortable temperature. Other than that a very relaxing, enjoyable & comfortable night was had. Service at reception is impeccable.

I believe this hotel was not available to book for a couple of years due to a "Government contract." I therefore hadn't stayed there for a few years. Reception and bar area look to have been refurbed, looking good. Pool area is great, with sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Room is fine and has a large bright light in the middle of the room, unlike most hotel rooms which can be quite dark. Breakfast which was free, was absolutely delightful. Very tasty food, including the haggis which people must try. My only gripe would be the size of the plate. Alan Partridge would not be happy.

Good location for OVO Hydro, with friendly staff and it was clean. Our particular room had a couple small DIY issues more in detail and refinement rather than a big problem. I'd use it again.

Brilliant stay, was hoping for a lovely view but wasn’t so nice. There was a stain on the carpet from a previous water leak. It was quite chilly in our room but overall a lovely stay.

On arrival met with very friendly and helpful reception staff. Reception area and bar area clean and welcoming. Room was clean with a comfy bed and good shower.
Breakfast room was freezing though still had the air con on on a cold morning!! But the food more than made up for that. great choice all freshly cooked, hot and tasty. had a meal in the bar area, and again, very friendly service and freshly cooked very tasty food at competitive prices. All in all loved our short stay

We had a fantastic stay, from the complementary birthday card and 2 drinks tokens on arrival and professional, helpful staff who ensured every part of our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The leisure facilities are fantastic and the restaurant was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing stay and will definitely come back again. Highly recommend if you are looking for somewhere close to the city centre but quiet enough away from the hustle and bustle.

Arrived slightly before check in time, so waited in bar area. Seating held together with black tape. After checking in, headed to room only to find it already occupied. After another trip and wait at reception, we were given another room.
Room satisfactory, a little tired and grubby looking. Issue with cold water tap only giving out scalding hot water at one point.
Noisy guests woke us at 6am who were standing drinking outside main hotel door.

Lovely stay at this hotel, staff were very helpful with my gluten intolerance and catered to my needs. Pool and leisure facilities were brilliant. Staff were all so helpful and telephoned in rooms made life so much easier for contacting reception. Brilliant stay overall, would definitely recommend.

My family spent about GBP 370 for 2 nights, dissatisfactory with room quality. The ventilation is bad. The air in the room was extremely stuffy, making it difficult to breathe comfortably, additionally, there was a pervasive smell of marijuana. The room itself appeared very outdated and in need of refurbishment, the worn-out furnishing and decor did not meet standard with 4 star.
We have asked for changing the room in the first day, but they said that it is fully booked, so they can only provide a fan. We cannot sleep for the whole night. Next day, I strongly complaint to ask for change of the room, then try and error to source a better room. Honestly, most of the rooms have the same problem. Finally, they can provide a bigger room for us with a window which allow to be opened. Anyway, we are disappointed. We do not recommend to book this hotel.

The room was spacious and clean, however there was no air conditioning and it was too warm. When we went for breakfast we had to ask for plates. The pool was great but the hot tub was the same temperature as the pool. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Exec room was dated other than orientation no different than any other. red carpet stains, window did not open, air con didnt work, manual fan circulated warm air so uncomfortable i couldn't sleep, sink had big crack in it. Staff were friendly enough. The good liesure facilities saved the day. Wont stay again.
