It is close to the omnibus 120 to go to the waterfalls on the Brazilian site. Alsoni you like adventure the bus to argentina is in the same busstation. Nice restaurants in the neigboorhood. We didn't like the atmosfeer, cleanness and the breakfast was really simple. We think you find better in foz do iguacu.

Quite closed to the TTU and has wifi, but the room is terribly dirty, totally different with pictures.
Pictures on expedia and the room I stayed was totally different. And just dirty.
And staff doesnt speak English, so it's not the same as it shown on Expedia ......kind of disappointed

Right close to the urban bus station meaning it was easy and cheap to get to falls, airport, Ciudad del Este and Puerto Iguazu. Nice decent hotel with good breakfast. Restaurant next door was great, too.

Staying 2 night to see the falls on the Brazilian and Argentinian side. Hotel was located in a good neighborhood with lots of cheap restaurants and shopping. Always felt safe going out alone at night. Less than a 2 minute walk to the busstation with access to the waterfalls with public transport.

First of all, this hotel is in a very good location. It is close to many restaurants and shops. I was able to take bus from and to the airport. The front desk staff were helpful; there were few spoke some English and I was able to communicate without problem. The housekeeping was good too, they cleaned my room daily and promptly. The breakfast was served in a buffet style and it included variety of typical breakfast foods and beverages. I booked a room for myself for 2 nights and I got a room of two single beds with a very decent price. The construction was very loud but I wasn't in my room during the day except the first day after I checked-in, so it didn't bother me much. The carpet in the room was covered with stains; I had to wear my flip flops the whole time. I would highly recommend tiles over carpet, just saying. However, my biggest issue would be the comfort and cleanness of the bathroom facility. My shower stall door didn't close; every time I showered, the water got everywhere. And the flush button leaked water too. I feel back for the housekeeper having to clean up the soaking wet bathroom even though I did place a towel on the ground to soak the water but the towel could only do so much. I guess the price says it all; it is pretty cheap for a hotel room. They're renovating the room so I won't be surprise that their rooms will be cleaner but the price won't be the same.

I chose this hotel with a budget factor in mind but the property was more than I expected and I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were helpful, rooms were clean and satisfactory, and location was good. Above all, value of price paid to services received was excellent.

This hotel was probably something in its day, unfortunately that day was decades ago. The hotel is in a great location - one block from the bus terminal where you can get a bus to the falls. The hotel is in need of repairs. Our AC was probably from the Nixon administration and sounded like a jet engine. The shower leaked so there was water all over the bathroom all the time. The cleaning staff did not even sweep or mop the floors (in the 5 days we were there). On the plus side, the room was spacious and comfortable (no mini- fridge), the front desk staff were very helpful. the location and price were great.

This hotel is old and the rooms and mattresses are in need of remodeling. the shower floor was the old asbestos tiles (like you see in grocery stores) that was lifting from water. The air conditioner while working was very loud. The breakfast was average. The staff was helpful. So if you are going on the cheep on their busy time of year it is ok but it won't be like most hotels you are used to in the US.

Mirante is located less than five minutters from the bus terminal with buses both to the foz de iguazu national park and the AirPort. Its also in or near the center of the city, which medansvar you can find anything you need pretty much within walking distance. The staff was very service minded and during our stay at least one person spoke some english. Atm in the lobby. Rooms were clean, but it smelled da little bit chlorine. Bathroom and showers were ok. The hallways were a little dimly lit and in one hallway there was some construction going on. All in all, good value.

I thought if they even spent a can of paint to paint the room it would look so much better. I am okay with old furniture but the walls look dirty and the bathroom was also. Showers were cold. No blankets in our room so we were freezing. Beds were actually comfortable. Staff nice .

The hotel was an old-fashioned Latin style hotel. The furniture through out has a hint of nostalgia to the old days in the 50s and 60s, which I appreciated. Staff were friendly in general. Location is a block away from bus terminal, which makes things a lot easier if you want to use buses to get around and go sight-seeing. Breakfast is good. Would recommend to friends.

This is a good choice for budget travelers! Although the hotel has bad carpeting, they are renovating it, and the rooms are in perfect conditions.
The breakfast is also good, with more options than similar buffets I had in other Brazilian hotels.
The bus terminal is just a block away, where you can catch the bus to the Cataratas Park (#120 - 45 mins) and the airport (also the #120 - 35 mins).
A good Churrascaria (steak house) is just in the corner. Eat a lot of delicious meat for cheap! You just need to pay for your drinks, but their price is fair.
Get your groceries in the Muffato supermarket, also a few blocks north.

This hotel is in need of a lick of paint, good location for the bus stop, city centre and the falls and adequate for a one night stay

The Hotel is located in a great area near restaurants, shopping areas and the bus depot. The hotel service was great as well, they did everything possible to accommodate us and our needs. The hotel's breakfast was great as well. The room was comfortable and clean, but it had a strange smell at first. The smell went away after the first night. The hotel has had its better days and needs major renovations. While I was there, I notice they were working on updating the hotels. I would recommend it for anyone who's looking for a good place to stay that is centralized.

Got an awesome rate for the stay here. Clean rooms, decent breakfast, polite staff. However, the a/c is like a hole in the wall. I can hear everything outside through the a/c. Motorcycles, cars, buses. This was during Brazil's winter. A lot of cold air was coming in through the a/c. Trust me, the a/c was off. There's a good churrasco restaurant right next to the hotel, and the bus terminal is right in front of the hotel as well. Leads you right to the falls.

The hotel is located in a central place near the bus terminal. This is the only positive thing we could say about the hotel. Unfortunately, during our stay the service provided was very poor. Rooms are in a terrible shape. We stayed only two days. There was no water one whole evening and on the other day, the bathroom was flooded. No one came to fix it until the next day. There are several newly built hotels in Foz de Igazu. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone travelling from USA, even if the Expedia or the hotel is ready to pay us to stay there.

We checked into the hotel because we paid in advance. The pictures looked OK. BUT... We checked out right away and left to another hotel without a refund... The staff was friendly but the room was a disaster.. It was kept clean BUT the air conditioner did not work, it smelled badly and the carpet was as old as the hotel... VERY OLD an smelly... Stay there if ONLY you are on a strict budget!

this hotel is a large building ugly and not so clean. Rooms carpet need to be replece it is durty and smeling. Bed are hards but they do the job don,t recomend it to old people overall, seen like this large uncharacter building is just waiting for a complete demolicion. The personal is nice and very helpful. I and a friend were there for 3 dias but didn't stay in the hotel much, but the price is recomend so, is you just want to go there for a couple a days to see the falls then this hotel will be just right.

The hotel is a large sixteen-story building with a rooftop pool on its sixth floor. We were booked in a Luxo room with two twin beds. Upon arriving at our room we noticed a foul smell in the room. There were children running up and down the stairs outside our room playing tag (part of a tour group). My roommate said the room smelled of roach spray and pointed to a dead roach carcass stuck to a wall. I called the front desk and complained about the smell and the disturbance outside. They switched us to the honeymoon suite. This comprised of a large room with two bathrooms a full sized bed and a twin separated by a plastic folding wall and a tv by the twin bed. The master bath had a tub but the smell kept us out and the door to it closed. None of the rooms (including the luxo room) had soap or shampoo, I had to ask for some from the front desk and was given only soap, they had no shampoo. The breakfast buffet was minimal at best. The hotel appeared to be centrally located: less than half a block from the Central bus terminal. I noticed however that all the busses that we took (Airport & Iguacu Falls, Puerto de Iguazu, and Ciudad del Este) traveled along the same streets through town and were just as convenient to all the other hotels. The area around the hotel was desolate, particularly at night, with very few shops or restaurants. Walking back to the hotel late at night gave the feeling of walking through a ghost town.
