I stayed at The Retreat for a combined bachelor/bachelorette weekend with my fiancée and a group of our friends.
It was an excellent place to unwind and spend time together. We were annoyed at times by the noise from the freeway nearby and the airplanes overhead but the multitude of amenities available at the house and the great communication (and signage) from the host, Robert more than made up for the noise.
10/10 would return and recommend to others. Thanks again, Robert!

We came to relax and spend time with extended family.
The guys golfed at Rivermoor Golf Course. My son-in-law got a hole in 1! Needless to say, we all celebrated after that!
We enjoyed fishing and just pedaling around the pond. The kids loved the pool as did the adults. The game room was a hit in the evening. Fun area!

We spent several days at the Retreat over the 4th of July. What a perfect property with so much to do! From the inground pool to the fish-stocked pond to the volleyball net to the game room, there are so many activities for everyone. And our dogs loved the opportunity to run through the manicured seven acres! Would stay again.

I stayed at The Retreat with my family - 6 young adult kids, my parents, my brother + familly - for a long weekend. We gathered with other extended family in the area for a family reunion.
Highlights:
1. The owner is very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process.
2. The property is AMAZING! Honestly the pictures don't do it justice. Lots of room for yard games, fire pit, fishing, stand up paddle boards, peddle boat, row boat, the pool... It was so perfect for us! The grounds were so well cared for and absolutely beautiful.
3. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking/serving items. We fed a crowd of nearly 40 all day every day we were there and it had everything we needed. Also 2nd fridge in the sunroom was perfect as a beverage fridge.
4. The game room was a hit! We had a lively ping pong battle all weekend.
5. Plenty of space inside! Thankfully the weather cooperated for us but we could have easily moved indoors
6. Plenty of outdoor seating - chairs, tables, pop up shade tents! Fantastic!
7. Plenty of towels and linens and having washer/dryer with the pool especially was awesome
Drawbacks:
1. The house is dated. This is not a big deal to us, but it is what it is. Could use updating.
We gather for family reunions regularly and with quite a bit of family in this area I could absolutely see renting this space again! It was fantastic!! The owner was awesome to work with. Convenient location near the interstate but not loud. Soooo many great things!

Beautiful property in very close proximity to Chicago. Everyone enjoyed it from my parent to my teenager son. The property has a very Nice pool, a lot of space in the house with gaming room. Highly recommended!

This is the second time we stayed at The Retreat. LOTS of space inside and out for our family to gather. Kids age 3-10 could not get enough of the heated pool and the adults especially enjoyed the hot tub. We added an 'exrra' and had a small family reunion one of the afternoons and the place was perfect for this. Game room such a bonus when it rained. We didn't need to leave the property but some checked out 7 Mile Fair. Communication with the owner was timely. I'm sure the family will vote to return to The Retreat in the future!

It was a great little place, close to everything but tucked away from everyone. It has everything u need for a quick fun filled getaway. The owner was a great host, he was quick to answer all questions we had prior to booking and was just as swift to answer after we confirmed. It was truly an all in 1 fun place to be with the family. If it wasn't for the desire to visit the zoo, we would have remained on property. I thank the owner for creating such a sweet little oasis!

Overall, very satisfied with our stay at Robert’s estate. The property exceeded my expectations and we genuinely enjoyed every part of the property. We were very satisfied that within 2-3 hours we pictured ourselves coming back during the summer time. Thank you again, Robert.

Fun, laid back property. Game room is awesome. Huge, living room with comfy recliners, and with projection screen is great for nighttime family movies. Property around the house is great. Near highway, you can be in downtown Milwaukee in 15 minutes, or at the beach or shopping. Great location. Loved our stay. Robert was super responsive.

We came up to spend anniversary and a birthday.Brought our 2 pups and they loved to run the acres. We used hot tib and had a bon fire followed by relaxing inside by the fireplace.A+ for small but its a great place for a crowd too!

The house was absolutely perfect! The hot tub, game room, land around the home were amazing! My kids had so much fun and my husband and I did too. This was just like a house. It was a mini resort all to yourself!!

Property has a lot to do, no need to leave property except to go to Piggly Wiggly for few more groceries. Pool was outstanding. Caught lots of fish, BIG One got away!!!

Property is as described in the listing. It’s a large space perfect for friend and family get togethers. A bit dark and dated, but exactly as pictured. It’s right off of 94. Communication with the host was good, he answered all of our questions and allowed us to check in a few hours early and check out an hour late. The amount of signs and to dos are a bit much but this property owner may have had issues in the past with previous guests. Rules included no eating in the bedrooms, rinse out white sock in pool skimmer nightly, empty dehumidifiers, add chlorine tabs to hot tub, strip beds and towels after stay take, out trash and run the dishwasher. We felt it was a bit much to ask with the price we paid. All in all we didn’t feel like a guest and felt like we were a minor inconvenience to the property owner during our stay.

Great getaway! Everyone had a great time in the beautiful swimming pool along with fishing in the pond and paddle boarding and playing the many yard games, i.e. volleyball, horseshoes, bags, etc. Always something to do. Accommodations were also great with plenty of room for all, including all the kitchen items one needs (and outdoor grill). Fairly close to the highway but not really in sight and no one seemed to mind the noise. Robert was very accommodating and anxious to make sure that we had whatever we needed to enjoy our stay. Thanks Robert!

The owner reached out to ask of we were going to the Harley Davidson party, after i told him yes, he offered to put tents up for us, if we had needed(we didnt)
Words can not express how nice and beautiful this property is.
We booked thos property for the Harley Davidson 120th anniversary.. honestly we didnt want to go into Milwaukee and opted to relax at this estate.
The pool was warm and clean. The house itself felt warm and cozy and very inviting. Bedrooms roomy and comfortable.
I highly recommend booking this place, its more than worth it

The property is beautiful! Communication is so easy with the owner. They leave instructions everywhere, including how to use equipment. If you forget to bring things im sure the house will most likely have it. I stayed with younger children and they had a blast! So much to do!

The Retreat was perfect for a get together of friends for the weekend. Plenty of space and activities that kept us enjoying ourselves the whole time. Lots of places to sleep or set up camp. Robert was a great host and looking forward to a return visit.

The property was just off the highway but back far enough where it felt like you were out in the country in the woods. Plenty of fun stuff to do with the hot tub a fishing pond and a heated pool we had everything we needed to have a good time and we did. The property manager Roberts is an amazing guy and responded to all of her needs not that we needed a whole lot but he responded immediately. We have a bowling tournament down in that area every year we'll be staying there again
