The ease of self check in is so good. It’s also in a good location. About a two min walk to the Shambles. And it’s quiet on an evening

Our only complaint was that the bed in our room wasn’t very comfortable. I think a new mattress would solve that tho. Other than that I would 100% stay here again.

Comfortable bed and clean room,bathroom. Close to the centre, has a nice bar and outside sitting area.

No fan in room and bedroom windows don't open was bit sure if there was a car park so paid extra in a car park closed by.

It was a great location and easy to walk to!

The room was tiny, no fan or AC and window barely opened so it was pretty warm. There was hardly any space for our luggage, luckily we were only there 1 night.

Location good and friendly staff. We did have a serious issue which staff tried to resolve during the stay (unsuccessfully)

No hot water for either washing of hands or showering in the room. This couldn't be resolved. Instead of being given a different room we were given access to a shower room accessed through a dirty storage area. Problem with a boiler that couldn't be repaired during our 2 night stay but we should have been relocated. We were refunded 50% of the bill, but would rather have been given a different room.

Everying, literally, suited us perfectly, that is, me and Jake my wonderful little dog. Location, accomodation, lovely friendly, helpful, professional people

Too harsh to say, 'did'nt like.' The Beer Garden was outside our room, so, inevitably, there was a little noise, when we tried to settle down. But, it is an Inn and, a little disturbance was to be expected. It was not something to complain about.

Got what we paid for. A Nice cheap hotel, very clean , centrally located to fantastic staff.

Bed was a bit creaky but we did so much walking we just crashed

Location is great for visiting the city. Free parking for such a central location is also a massive bonus. The room was basic and a little tired but for the price absolutely satisfactory. Spot on if you’re looking for a cheap and cheerful place to get your head down whilst visiting York. The staff that we met were all very friendly and helpful. Bar serves a good pint and the food looked nice, though we didn’t eat there during our stay. Would certainly stay again.

The mattresses on the single beds were a bit old and lumpy.

Was ideal for York town . Room was clean and suited our needs . The breakfasts were lovely served by a lovely lady our only disappointment was we asked Saturday morning what time evening meals finished , we were told 9.30 , we came back from Whitby got changed and went down to have an evening meal at 8 to be told by a male staff member the kitchen was closed . We had to go out and source a meal where as we were tired was a pain . Other than this no problems
