바위 너구리가 정원 잔디밭에 많이 있어서 너무 좋았다. 이곳 여름 (한국은 겨울)이라 모기도 많고 날씨 안 좋을 거라는 정보가 많았는데 벌레나 모기를 1마리도 구경 못했다. 밤엔 추울 정도로 시원하다. 식당도 직원들도 모두 친절하고 맛있다. 아침에 일찍 일어나면 뒷산 바위산에 바위너구리가 많아 조식 식당 테라스 가까이에도 자주 출몰해 귀여웠다.

객실이 너무 작아 살짝 불편했으나 나름 동화책에 나오는 집 같아서 포근하고 정감 있긴 했다. 냉장고가 없다. 호텔 입구가 구글맵 안내와 좀 달라 처음 방문시 헤맸었다.

The lodge is located close to the Fish River Canyon's main entrance. The rooms are spread around this well designed lodge. The swimming pool is a great place to enjoy the sunset. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom incorporated natural material to make it a very pleasant place to have a shower. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the sunset walk up to the hill overlooking the property. The buffet dinner was delicious with a great selection of dishes.

The rooms were quite far out from the main entrance so a bit of walking is required. The signage leading to the lodge is quite confusing as most guests end up going to the Gondwana Village instead, so this needs to be addressed.

what a paradise in the middle of nowhere. excellent food, extremely friendly and helpful staff, very luxurious and comfortable bungalows with comfortable beds. our drive with Simon to the Fish River Canyon was the best, absolutely book the drive in the morning because of the morning light. We think its absolutely better to take the guided tour to the Canyon, Simon explained a lot to us which was very helpful and interesting. we will come again.

rooms were delightful staff excellent but didn’t enjoy the buffet breakfasts or buffet dinners served food always tastes better

next to everything else the lodge was very flexible in moving my wrong booking (one month to earyl) to the right date without any penalties. Thank you very much!

only two things that could and should be improved: - close the outside doors during dinner; it was constantly too cold despite the fire inside, because some of the doors were open - offer one day hikes down into the canyon! (with a guide)

Beautiful area to stay for a few days while visiting fish river canyon. The staff were great.

The pool could use a heating system.

Lovely location - built right into the outcrop of rocks. Really pretty area and clean rooms. Friendly staff. Everyone seemed very open and helpful. Took one of the guiding walking events and this was enjoyable.

The food was a buffet and not a great value for the price. It would have been great to have more activities organized by the lodge. We wanted to explore the area but there were not many guided or recommended activities for active travellers.

As we have experienced before with Gondwana: a professionally run accommodation with good and friendly staff. The lodge is beautifully situated and you can relax there in a nice athosphere. The silence, the space, the stars make a stay an unforgettable experience. And the buffet, in a word fantastic. Of course a shame about the grasshoppers but that's nature that one can't do much about i think
