Balcony and big bed

foggy mirror in the bathroom which can never clear up on its own. Carpet feels wet. No full height mirror for dressing.

Good location.

I booked a room with balcony. But the hotel gave me a room without balcony. I asked them why, they told me the balcony room was ready for me and I could pack up my luggage and move to the room with balcony. Their response made nonsense at all.

Room are clean and daily clean up of room always. Love the bath tub, but toilet didn't have bidet, will not be convenient for Family with younger kids.

Mini bar replenishment was not replenished daily, I might have misunderstood the meaning at the booking site. Hope the toilet would come with heated seat as winter could get really cold and bidet for kids washing

Better access to the Montpelier Piaza thru the gate by swiping room key cards. The walk to the Piaza is difficult for My mom of 94

The room was cleaner than your cat's fanny. The breakfast buffet was just super, and at HKD85 each, a great value. Everything about our room was downright elegant. And the grounds? B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L !

The TV. I spent a long, long time trying to get it to accept and play videos from my USB flash drive. Finally, I called and they sent me an "engineer" to get it working. He was super nice, but he struggled with that TV for like half an hour and finally got it. I would think playing movies from a USB would be anticipated and allowed for. Speaking of TV, there are gobs of channels in Chinese, which I don't understand. There were only two English movie channels. It would be nice if there were more international entertainment. I also didn't like them saying the earliest check-in was 3:00 but check-out was 12:00 noon the next day. You guys need three hours to clean the rooms? On the other hand, I called the front desk and they did allow me 30 extra minutes late check-out. One last thing. There is a sidewalk that runs behind the hotel and along the shoreline. It is so pretty. But if you want to go over to Golden Beach Plaza and eat or shop, you get 2/3 of the way there and there is a locked gate. You have to backtrack all the way to and through the hotel and then walk it again. The long way around to get from the hotel to the shopping plaza is about a 10-minute walk. If they would only keep that gate open, the walk would be cut in half. Actually, this is why we did not go play at the beach. It's just so far to walk and to walk back. It is surprising that the Golden Beach advertises how close they are to the beach and then prevents us from going there.

The breakfast buffet has lots of choices which are suitable for my parents and daughter. Great!

We love Gold Coast Hotel. It is very family-friendly and the staff are helpful and accommodating, despite the various hoops they (and we) have to jump through. The swimming pool is a real highlight, and the facilities in general are very good.
