Very good

A decent hotel facing the beach, the Mirage suffers a little from its maintainence and upkeep. The room furniture is dated and looks past its refurbishment date. The breakfast spread is good and the dining room has great views. The pool is small and barely ok for a few laps. The staff is polite and smiling and try their best to sort out issues.

The AC in my room was totally ineffective the first night - I complained but it was a little late. Next day, the techs spent the better part of an hour to sort things and it worked better. The hotel is overated as a 4 star....the location being the only saving grace

The room service is quick and offers tasty food with a good portion. Also no additional charges for room service. Comfy stay for the price. I would recommend to a friend. Staff is also nice and friendly.

Poor cleanliness, Dirty floor Broken, hazards objects in bathroom floor, also Dirty & mold on walls & celling AC broke at the middle of the night, TV didn't work properly. Broken Fridge. Noisy place, Hard to sleep No way near to a 4 star hotel, VERY Disappointed with Booking.com (misleading Information).

Location was good. Breakfast was good and they gave us a packed food on the day we left at 5.30am.

Everything else to be honest. The hotel itself is located in good place, however the cleanliness not good. TV not worked even after 5 attempts! Air-conditioning - water dripping when off. Madness was so stiff and had a back pain. Room was not cleaned even after 6 hours when we returned but we did put a note to state to clean the room. WiFi was terrible and couldn't connect at all, especially from our room on 6th floor. They should fit a booster.

The rate of exchange used for settlement of US 52 was exorbitant tried to charge me @ 330 after a protest dropped it to lkr 321 per $ but even this was high. They claimed it was Bookings.com rate which is a lie because the same morning I checked out of another property in Kandy Eearl's regent where they charged me only @ lkr 310 This is a ploy to extract extra money from guest.

The location on Marine drive is good, and close to many destinations in the city. The beach view was nice. The rooms are huge and the bed was very comfortable. Tea/coffee facilities are available. Bathroom had all necessary amenities. Air conditioning was good. The staff was very friendly. As I did not use the breakfast, bar or restaurant facilities, I can't comment on them.

The key card kept failing, so the staff would proactively reset it every time I came in to the lobby. The rooms were clean, but clearly need fumigation - when I turn on the light I see many things scurrying in to the gaps between floor and furniture. They seem to come from the shower drain, and my concern was that they might get in to the luggage and I might inadvertently bring them home.

Room was full of cockroaches, dirty kettle, leaking bathroom closet.

The reception and restaurant staff were very good. The restaurant food was excellent.

This hotel should have been much better and it has potential. However, 3 of us [same family] stayed in 3 rooms and all had problems - room 1 [deluxe]...electrical issue with the door key swipe - fixed quickly, Room 2 - a sink that wouldn't drain [this was a supreme deluxe room] and the table was filthy, Room - 3 [deluxe] - broken toilet flush, dirty shower, beer bottle top under sink. In two of the rooms, the bedsheets were not properly placed leaving mattress exposed. Most of these issues are a housekeeping issue - it seems the hotel needs to sort its housekeeping department out.
