The location is good and the overall apartment is clean and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.

The staff at this place certainly need training . Once the booking is made the property keeps demanding that you make a refundable deposit which was approximately LKR 25,000. Thereafter, once you get to the property , you’re first “WARNED” at the reception that you will be “SEVERELY FINED” if you don’t clean up the place once you leave and if you have more than 6 persons in the apartment at a time. Inside the apartment , the hall and the kitchen contain several notices (which include a “policy book ) indicating that you will be fined for the above mentioned reasons . The kitchen sign in particular states that you are provided with 6 pieces of cutlery and 6 water glasses and 6 water mugs (you should pay close attention to this because we noticed that we were provided with 3 to four pieces of cutlery upon our arrival and the management does inspect the cutlery to see if anything is missing upon your departure . So if you’re missing any cutlery mention it at the start to avoid a possible “fine”) It remained very clear that the property management seemed quite desperate for money , given that we were constantly RUDELY reminded of these fines by every staff member at every turn. We were further informed that if the towels contain any stains upon departure, a fine would be deducted from the refundable deposit paid . Whilst it is at the property’s discretion to have any policy in place , what was quite disappointing is the fact that the management assumes that you would break the rules and that you need constant reminders . This shows a complete lack of trust and more particularly RESPECT to a paying guest/ customer . To make things worse , whilst we were informed that check out is at 12pm , we were shocked to find that certain members of staff had unlocked the door and let themselves into the apartment 2 hours before in order to “inspect” the place . This complete invasion of privacy is shocking to say the least .

This time I was given room 304. It had convenient power sockets near the bed which made working on the bed quite easy. The room had a refrigerator, a microwave, a water dispenser, and an iron as promised (as opposed to my last visit). The A/Cs worked reasonably well I put both A/Cs at 16C but it felt at around low 20s. This may be due to the very high outside temperature these days.

The water dispenser was not one that had a cooling/heating function. (ie, it does not have a plug at all). But this was not a big issue as I filled some water bottles and put them in the refrigerator. One thing people using booking .com should note is that the rate at which they convert the dollar amount to rupees is slightly steeper than what booking com or google tells. For example, Both Booking com and Google on that day set $1 to Rs300 but the property converted it at $1 to Rs314.

I booked for two days as I was leaving at 8pm on the 2nd day (therefore didn’t have breakfast the next day either). I repeatedly requested for an updated receipt to show that i paid for two days as i was travelling for work- but I didn’t receive it nor a refund for the second day if they were not able to provide the correct receipt

Everything except if they can update the beds which are bit worn out with over usage, staff and facility is satisfactory.

Only the bed. If they change the mattresses this is one of the best location

The apartment was very open and airy, although facing the road was noisy. The location is actually great, less commercial area, so a lot of food, supermarket options were all in walking distance. The pool was very nice, wish we spent more time there. The staff at the reception were available, prompt and very friendly. Being on Galle road made it easy to just grab a tuk from or walk around in.

The master bedroom facing the road was very noisy, so we had to use the other bedroom, which meant we could not access both the bathrooms, as mentioned on the logistics. The kitchen tap was leaking, there was nothing to wash dishes with (it didn't make sense for us to buy dishwasher for a 2 night stay). The wi-fi kept on not working from time to time, and was very slow overall.
