The pool was fabulous, the staff were very friendy helpfull and attentive. No menu, the guys just asked you what you would liked and cooked it fresh. Such a relaxing quite place full of lovely people including two lay back dogs and an affectionate parrot. This charming out of the way place is so good I stayed a seond day.

What's to dislike? If you want silver service and someone to park you car and your towels folded in tha shape on a swan on your bed then this is maybe not for you.

Wonderful place. Owners are lovely people. They had our dinner ready in advance of our arrival after a long day on the road. The place has a lot of character. An essential stop if you're passing by.

Honestly nothing. Just make sure you're in a decent car to drive down the gravel road to the hotel.

didn’t cater well for vegetarian/vegan. dinner was a plate of veg & chips. enlivened by the owners parrot enjoying at apple pie I couldn’t eat!

The owner was very friendly. Spacious bedroom. Farm atmosphere with animals around. Good breakfast. The unique stone building and the beautiful wooden furniture. Nice outside stoep with Wi-fi coverage.

1. The bed was terribly noisy ...couldn't figure out if it was the bed itself or the mattress. With the slightest movement it woke me up right through the night. 2. We had supper and with checking out, we were charged more than the amount stated on our Booking.com confirmation. When my husband queried the wrong amount, he was told that he had it wrong. We had it black on white. We feel that the receptionist/manager was dishonest and we left feeling that we were done in.

Very friendly staff, great atmosphere. 3rd time we stayed here before our Fish River Hike and will be back again!

Both supper and breakfast were excellent, well received by owner and staff.

Very friendly staff, and the location was perfect for the distances we had planned to travel for the day. We did have all that was needed for the one night in regards to amenities.

The property didn't really look like the photos, I think the photos are rather old. The bar was very dingy and dark, although it was well stocked. The finishing's in both the hotel itself and the room, especially the bathrooms are bad. The food tasted great, but presentation could have been a lot better.

It is a very unique place. Like an old well renovated castle. Owner and staff are extremely helpful.
