Firstly, Stuart was an excellent host. We travelled by train, so the apartment was only a 5 minutes walk from the station, and a 15 minute stroll into the city. The area was very quiet and clean. The apartment had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable 5 night stay.

There are no negatives to report.

The apartment is wonderful. The Wi-Fi is very good, the beds are comfortable, there is a laundry washer which is also a dryer, and Stuart was very friendly and responsive for the whole stay. The location is amazing—close to the train station and the city centre.

I would caution that there is no air conditioning for hot days (there are some fans but they don't do quite well cooling the room), so if the weather is expected to be warm bear that in mind (there is heating for cool days).

The host, Stuart, was brilliant and sent us information on how to find the property and access it. Stuart even sent us a video link with instructions which was really useful. The apartment is in an excellent location by the city walls and train station, just a short stroll away from the city centre. The lounge area was great and the TV had Netflix which was useful to keep our little boy entertained whilst we cooked/ got ready to go out. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed and there was a selection of coffee and Yorkshire tea for us. There were also small cartons of milk in the fridge which was great. The bathroom was good, with a spacious shower. The bed was comfortable and so was the sofa bed. There was a washing machine and iron available for us to use if we wanted to. There were lifts to the apartment which is located on the third floor of the building.

The apartment was hot but luckily there were four fans. The apartment was a little dusty. Lot of noise from the pub across the road at night time.

Perfect location, very close to the train station and walking distance to city centre. The apartment is very clean and cosy. I would highly recommend !

Stuart, our host, made entry into the apartment easy by making a video of the steps to get the keys. From there it only got better as the apartment had all the facilities we needed and quality items . The location was prefect for getting around York.

The location was perfect! Far enough away from the buzz of city centre but also an easy walk to get to everything. The apartment was also perfect and well equipped! It was wonderful to relax there after a day of exploring. Stuart was fantastic to work with. Highly recommend.

The flat is amazing. We lacked for nothing….clean and comfy. The area was very close to our mode of transportation (train)and a short walk into the heart of the town. My only regret … that we could not stay longer.

The location is right across the street from the train station. We walked a short distance to the town center. The apt. was clean and nicely furnished. Operating manuels were available. Location pleasant. Stuart is a very nice host.

The down pillows on the bed were too soft for us.

The communication with Stuart was phenomenal and actually made the whole experience a total joy. The moment we booked we received a friendly introductory message, then a few days before arrival we received a HUGE message with every detail about the accommodation etc even including a video showing how to walk from the train station to the apartment. We had a query on the day of our arrival which was answered in minutes as was all our communication throughout our stay. Thanks Stuart for being a fantastic host! The apartment is probably about as close to the train station as you can get, amazing location. Also easy walking distance from the centre, we never once needed to get a taxi - I even managed to walk there and back in a huge pair of heels!! The apartment buildings are modern and very well kept with lovely outdoor space. The apartment itself is very well decorated and presented. Very clean on the whole. There are Dyson fans in every room if needed but as we visited in December we made use of the lovely heating. The apartment got very warm very quickly! Board games and books are available in the living area. Netflix & Prime etc available on the TV. Iron & ironing board available as is a washer/dryer! We would definitely stay here again when we visit York and have already recommended it to friends and family!

On the whole we really couldn't fault this place - there were a couple of things we picked up on, but not negatives as such! We stayed to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary so naturally brought some champagne along with us! We were a bit disappointed to find the kitchen didn't have any champagne flutes... didn't feel quite right drinking it from a wine glass! There was a privacy voile on the window in the living room but not in the bedroom which seemed odd. The windows do look straight out onto the street so curtains needed to be kept closed to maintain privacy. The blackout element of the bedroom curtain was damaged at the end so the street light was shining on my face during the night. Rectified by pushing my suitcase next to the curtain but made getting to the toilet in the night quite an obstacle course! Mugs, glasses & cafetiere all needed washing prior to use, maybe just us but they looked a bit greasy and marked & the cafetiere was covered in old coffee grounds. Took 2 seconds to do & all washing up liquid/scourer etc was provided. Tea bags and ground coffee was also provided so that was a nice touch. We had an issue with the bathroom floor but we have raised it with Stuart and I have no doubt this will be fixed immediately. These were the tiniest of niggles and did not impact on the enjoyment of our stay in the slightest.
