All in all good, except The coffee machine didn’t work in the room

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the DoubleTree Fallsview over American Thanksgiving Weekend. I especially loved the pool area (the floor was heated!), the water pressure in the shower, very fast elevators, the lighted makeup mirror in the bathroom, and the walkability to everything touristy. The beds were so comfortable my husband was asking where the pillows were from. The only thing I would have changed was that we did not seem to have housekeeping - we had to keep asking for cups and coffee/tea for the coffee maker in the hotel room and our garbage was very full when we left. It was very minor, though, and we would absolutely stay here again if we were to come back to Niagara Falls.

It was a really nice place -warm /inviting . Dave was great . I will go again versus closer to the falls . We saw the restaurant menu in the hotel ‘too late ‘ It looked amazing and would have been cheaper for us ( google the menu ) Our room was 1808 and had perfect view of the falls.

We had a terrific stay for one night. The suite was very spacious, quiet and comfortable. It’s a beautiful hotel and we would stay there again.

The reception was cordial, not overly friendly, but acceptable. The room we got was as I request. The hotel looks relatively new. Rooms are nice and clean, as is the rest of the hotel. Had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel’s restaurant. Both were reasonably priced and tasted good. My only major gripe is the hotel charging $28 plus tax for parking. The Holiday Inn very close to it, located right across from the Fallsview Casino, offers complimentary parking for its guests. What makes this hotel’s parking so special that you, as a paying guest, have to pay almost $30 for above ground parking?? And when I mentioned this to the staff at reception, their advice to me was, if I don’t like paying for parking there, then I can go park somewhere else. It’s things like this that leaves you with a bitter taste in your mouth.

We went away for an anniversary Gateway 9 years. We love our view from our room.

We always count on Double Tree properties for good beds, nice pillows, a free cookie and a good nights sleep. After 10 hours in the car over a two day trip, we were glad to pay a moderate price for a great nights rest. Double Tree NEVER dusappoints.
