My stay was awesome. Only downside was my bed was a little hard for my liking and gave me a back ache and the air conditioner could’ve been COLDER!

Not a bad place, staff was very friendly. There’s not anything walkable too from the hotel. There was no vending machine next to the ice, even though there was a vending sign. Room felt cramped because there was an unnecessary chair blocking about 2/3 of the space from entry to the room (see picture). There was already a chair in the room so I don’t know why they would cram another one in there.

Staff were very pleasant. Hotel was run down, pool was not useable and our rooms were only cleaned once over a five night stay.

The people were friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the continental breakfast was delicious. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here.

This hotel was awful the carpet was dirty and needed to be replaced looks like it been in there for some time. The manager was rude when I asked for a refund we couldn’t stay there it just didn’t look clean. Please don’t come to this hotel you will be disappointed

Maybe in a zombie apocalypse I might consider staying there again. Why? Let’s begin with our king size studio suite still had the previous guess garbage under the sink. No garbage cans at all in the room. No shower gel, shampoo etc, only a small bar of soap. Towels for only one person. Breakfast : husband said the eggs didn’t have taste and the sausages taste like a mix of bologna and liver . He didn’t try anything else after. I asked regular milk but was told they ran out …It 7:45 am!!! Only had a sip of lukewarm coffee. Couldn’t wait to leave, have a decent coffee , breakfast, get home and disinfect myself and clothes of that place. I read the other negative reviews but I said it couldn’t be as bad as they wrote , no it was worse.

I’ve been staying there since the hotel opened on business trips. I’ve watched the progression of the building go down. It’s honestly time for a remodel.

Excellent customer service

I came to Bham for a conference. The drive from this hotel to the church on Cahaba Valley was gorgeous. The bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good.

Hotel was clean and the staff were friendly enough. Noticed several staff members sitting outside smoking right at the front door lobby entrance. Some breakfast items weren’t replenished such as fresh fruit. Main reason for 3 stars was that the pool was closed due to improper chemicals. We were told they had to wait for chemical testing to be done again the following day before the pool could possibly reopen. That’s the entire reason we booked this hotel. The kids were extremely disappointed.

The carpets looked like they hadn't been cleaned in some time, and the continental breakfast was subpar (mystery meat).

The staff was very friendly. However, the hotel was in dire need of a renovation. Tiles in the elevators were cracked and dirty. Carpets in the hallway and in our room needed to be cleaned. The blow dryer in our bathroom was no longer attached to the wall as it originally was, leaving holes where it used to be. Breakfast was good, however the juice machine was not fully functioning. This is not a hotel that we will be returning to in the future.

Curtains would not shut thus allowing too much light and brightness in at 6am. Air conditioning was loud and making an irritating noise. I make this trip several times a year and will not stay here again.

Property is run down, needs update and upgrade! Cabinets in room is banged down, ceiling is patch up, not even repainted, same thing with the door , it was patch up and never repainted! Hallway is very hot, no air on and blowing hot air! Riding the elevator feels like it’s going to fall down once it stopped! Carpet is rundown and dirty with food particles!It’s not even worth $150, feels like very cheap hotel with its appearance and room! The hotel is not up to par with Hilton hotel as its name or even a Hampton hotel on the cheaper side! Hilton should be ashamed to attach their brand name with this Hampton in Irondale! Breakfast is so-so, banana is already with brown spots, coffee tastes like water once you put the creamer on it! I can go on and on and hopefully Hilton management will take time to inspect this property and save their name as Hilton!

Our family only stayed for a night and were ok. The only inconvenience was that the hotel does not have adequate ventilation fan in the bathroom and after the four of us took showers, the room became extra humid. The wallpaper in the bathroom was falling off as well as the paint on the ceiling and walls. The room smelled humid the moment we walked in. This hotel needs maintenance and upgrades.

A1st room air didnt work. Bathroom was not clean and door was open when we arrived. Had to pack everything and move to a different room. 2nd room the lamps and lamp shades were broken. Took water almost 15 mins to get hot. There were used condoms on the stairs in the stairway noone cleaned up. The elevator did not work so our original room on the 4th floor had to be changed to the 2nd floor. The police had to be called bc someone was in the satirways with his pants down pleasuring himself. Did not feel safe and ir accommodations werw horrible i really want a refund

The room was not clean. Towels and sheets were stained. Otherwise it was quiet and convenient with large rooms.

I liked that it was quiet and only 15-20 mins from where we needed to be during our stay. The room was comfortable. I didn't like that they were stingy with towels. There were 3 of us and were only provided with 2. Had to request and that seemed to be an issue as they were apparently running low.

All of the staff were friendly. The rooms are older with some cosmetic damage, dirty carpet and floors in rooms and corridor. The biggest complaint is housekeeping only services rooms every 3 days. The front desk informed that that if I needed towels I should have called them. No cleaning, trash disposal, fresh towels nothing. Just Disappointing.

No working TV, had to change rooms due to non-working AC, front desk personnel disappeared for hours in the evening or had attitude… never staying here again!

The staff was very kind, but overall, the hotel was not clean. My bathroom had lots of hair in it, dirt in the corners, etc. The shower was so dirty that I was afraid to use it, and the carpet in the bedroom was dirty. The hallway floors were also dirty. The carpet was not clean, and the tiled floors were visibly dirty. The entire hotel needs a deep clean and an update. I'm honestly shocked that it is a Hilton property. All of that said, the staff was warm and friendly. But the overall management leaves much to be desired. It was certainly not worth what I paid.

While the night clerk was extremely nice and helpful, the morning clerk was quite the opposite. The breakfast was more than disappointing. The room was average but clean.

I stayed 2 separate bookings, 3 days apart. My 1st stay was with King bed. The 2nd booking, I took a Suite. Its all good. Minor flaws here & there. Will stay here again when I come back to AL!

This was a great overnight stop for our family. Friendly staff, nice rooms. Elevators weren’t very clean and needed repair but overall the rest of the hotel was great!
