Beautifully appointed, comfortable inn right in the heart of Minnesota lake country.

We were very happy with our stay. Our check in with Lisa went smoothly. She was very friendly and efficient. The hotel was clean and modern. The night clerk, Sarah was also very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Our party had 5 rooms for 5 days and our stay was GREAT! Rooms are very well soundproofed. Never heard a sound from outside the rooms even with our raucous group and two wedding groups in residence. Staff was awesome, with a special shout out to Carlos, who went WAY above and beyond for us. The rooms are great, with the only issues, which we all agreed on, were the bathtubs are EXTREMELY slippery and need more anti-slip strips. None of us felt comfortable in, or getting out of, the shower! When your designation is "senior citizen" slippery is bad. The bathroom also needs a towel rack/hook in reach of the shower. Our only other issue was they ran out of cereal, milk, fruit, etc for breakfast. noticeable when you're there five days. Also, a special recommendation for the Corn Field...Eat there, close by, awesome prices, awesome food, awesome service, blah, blah, blah. In short, HIGHLY recommended the Lakes Inn for your stay in the area.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, welcoming lobby and comfortable room made it a very relaxing weekend.

Our family vacation to Pelican Rapids was made all the more special by the Lakes Inn at Dunvilla. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The indoor pool, fireplace and complimentary breakfast were welcome amenities. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in summer to enjoy the nearby lakes.

New decor, pillows and beds are comfortable and the salt water pool and hot tub were a first for me! Would stay here again!

This hotel was very nice. It is newer so everything was very clean. Also, decorated very cute. Our room was MN themed. Staff were very nice. Hot shower in the morning, followed by yummy continental breakfast and coffee. It was a little out of our path of where we were traveling to and going to and from but well worth it!

Great location for the wedding we attended next door. Very nice accommodations and nice to see a continental breakfast when many are doing grab bags! Staff was doing what they could to make our stay enjoyable even though they were short handed. Would stay again!

A hidden gem

This is a beautiful new facility set in the middle of the fields. It's a bit off the beaten track and there are not a lot of choices for restaurants closed by. However, the idyllic setting is worth the few extra miles. Very, very quiet!!! Great place to just chill out!

My room was very clean, I’m a huge advocate of that, the mattress was very firm and helped with a great nights rest! The decor of the room was bright and cozy, and easy to accommodate for sleeping. Large bathroom/shower was MUCH appreciated. I didn’t take in for the breakfast area but will try next time.

Wonderful place we would definitely stay here again and most likely will.It was quiet, clean, beds were wonderful. Very easy to get around to different areas. The price for our stay was reasonable.

Beautiful area with views of the marshland. Very comfortable stay and friendly help. Felt very safe with covid distancing in place. The stairwells had cosy game & reading areas.

I have a lakehouse on Pelican Lake about 5 miles away and wanted to preview the hotel for future guest overflow (plus I was in the mood to relax at a jacuzzi and pool instead of the constant work one finds at a lakeshore property). I’ve paid triple the rate elsewhere for not as nice facilities. It has a new fresh smell, everything is modern/upscale and it is so quiet.... my room had a lush green meadow view. Robert was a welcoming and helpful check-in person. Free hot breakfast delivered to your room. A serene countryside oasis close to Pelican Rapids, across the street from Dunvilla’s Cornfield Cafe and about 15 minutes south of Detroit Lakes. I would love to escape to this little gem of a place again and again.

The Good: Rooms are beautiful I'm guessing the rooms had 10' ceilings. Big Breakfast area. Beds are comfortable. The Bad: Hotel is new and pool had no water in it. (Didn't know that when we booked the hotel) Dead bugs around the room. Parking lot a mud pit. TV wasn't set up so I had to go through the 20 min setup process so that the kids could watch TV. Staff wasn't friendly and acted like it was our fault we didn't know the pool was closed. We drove a long way off the highway to get to a hotel with a pool and the kids were bummed they couldn't go swimming.

Our bathroom had cob webs and hair in the drain of the shower and the floor was dirty in the hotel room. I let the front desk know and was told the manager would call me that day. I did not receive a call. I will not stay with this hotel in the future.
