Book in time was 3pm I arrived early at around 12.30 and asked if I could leave my luggage they said my room was ready very helpful staff clean large room will definitely stay there again

Other than the lack of parking, the hotel was clean staff were nice and the hotel was ok.

Perfect location, easy check in, lovely staff. Bar was priced as you’d expect a hotel bar but service was exceptional. Room was very clean, well laid out, view of the river and castle. Would definitely stay again Remember, this does day parking available, the Shambles car park is not far away at all though

An ok tourist hotel. Breakfasts a bit chaotic. Room nice

Hotel good but fire alarm after midnight. Staff didn't have a clue what to do. No fire marshalls and no information on what to do / where to go etc. We would have been in a lot of trouble if it had been a real fire not someone having a cigarette in their room or steam from the kettle (told two different stories).

The best thing about this hotel is the reception staff. All were friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble. They are a great asset! Location is great too.

We chose Hampton by Hilton on price, knowing that it would be a modern and clean hotel with good facilities and it did not disappoint. Close enough to walk to everywhere we wanted in York although a bit of a schlep from the station with luggage initially. Would stay there again for sure

Very lovely room with a view of Clifford’s Tower. Clean comfy room. Tea and coffee making facilities. Large tv and comfy beds. Fridge added bonus. Plush bathroom occasional drainage odour from the sink. Big shower. Close to al amenities we required. Wonderful buffet breakfast. Great price great stay.

Good stay apart from breakfast. Said breakfast was until 10.00am but one minute after ten all the food was removed and drinks machine shut off !!!

The hotel is very convenient to all attractions. Our room and bath were updated, clean and spacious. The shower does not have a door, which makes things a little difficult. Hotels.com needs to update their information for this hotel, like all other Hampton Inns, a breakfast buffet is included in your room charge!!

The hotel exceeded our expectations being in an ideal location for our visit and the room rates are very competitive & great value. Our queen room was spacious, comfy & clean and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of choice and self service meant you could have as little or as much as you liked. Finally the staff were friendly, helpful and informative so overall it was a great stay

Arrived & checked in, we were lucky that our room was ready. Room lovely & big, large picture windows & big comfy beds (although rather low). All facilities were provided - hanging space and coat hangers, kettle, smeg fridge, refreshments, hairdryer, iron & board and a safe. Bit disappointed that there was no complimentary water! Bathroom was lovely, had a huge walk in shower. Staff were lovely and helpful & breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. There was also an outside area with tables and chairs to sit in the sunshine and enjoy your drink or take in the evening stars. Lovely big lounge area to sit abd relax after a day smooching round town and down the cobbled streets. We were surprised at how central we were to everything - the Shambles were just around the corner and there were a couple of cash points as well as a Tesco and Sainsburys on the same road, along with lots of different places to eat All in all a fab place to stay, would absolutely recommend it and will definitely be back to stay again

Visit York every year first time at the Hampton Hotel by Hilton Piccadilly definitely be were we will be staying every time now lovely modern clean room all staff were very pleasant great location very good breakfast couldn't fault it

We had such a great stay. The staff were very helpful and always cheerful. The room was great and we really enjoyed the breakfast. We would definitely book this hotel again.

Beautiful room with amazing bathroom. I asked for a quiet room and that's what I got! We slept soundly. Breakfast was incredible! Hot, cold, cereal, waffles, yoghurt, fruit, you name it. And soya milk, gratefully received. About a 1 minute walk from a car park which charges a reasonable £16 for 24 hours. And 5 min walk from the centre.

Booked a 3 night stay in room advertised as queen bed with sofa bed, sleeping 3 people. So glad it was only the two of us because the room was tiny!! Bed was very comfy but pillows were so soft. Room was cleaned to an ok standard but there were crumbs on the chair when we arrived, same crumbs were still there when we left. Bathroom was ok but every time we used the basin taps there was a smell of sewage. Public areas were decent and clean, bar prices were scary but no surprise for a hotel in York. Breakfast was good although lack of variety of cooked items was disappointing, waffle maker was good!! Would stay again but would definitely want to book a bigger room.

Property was well kept and staff nice

Paid Almost £400 for two nights which seems overpriced for what we received. Asked about trips and directed to hundreds of leaflets in rack. Breakfast was ok but limited compared to other hotels we’ve visited. And next door to a building site which didn’t help! Staff polite, hotel was clean but not value for money?

The location of the hotel was amazing 10/10. We had a view of York Castle from our room which was nice. The rooms were very clean, lovely and modern. I will definitely be staying here next time I come to York and I would recommend it to anyone.

The hotel is designed for travelers wishing to be within walking range of York's tourist destinations. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs in the area in addition to retail vendors and banks. The staff is gracious and helpful, and the breakfast buffet is comprehensive. The only shortcoming is parking, located blocks away from the venue. We were fortunate to find a place to stop and drop off our luggage, as even streetside parking for short stops is very restricted.

Great Hotel, would definitely stay here again

Generally a good hotel and super convenient to the historic city center of York. No onsite parking but a municipal (Council) public parking lot is a few blocks away at $ 25 per day. Breakfast was good and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We booked 2 rooms with 3 adults in 1 room which is where we found out the convertible sofa bed was as hard as a rock ! The hotel staff did bring up some 3 inch thick foam pads that helped a bit but just be aware as it is an uncomfortable nights sleep.

Extremely efficient check in and check out. Lovely modern clean rooms. Very good complimentary breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
