I took my mom to this Inn for a birthday getaway to see my daughter (her granddaughter) who is at university in Ottawa. We were so impressed by the friendliness of the staff, uniqueness of the property, the delicious breakfast with lots of options and the overall comfort of the inn. This will be where my husband and I will stay from now on when visiting Ottawa!!

It's a beautiful, historic building the rooms are decorated with Victorian period decor, the breakfast is great and the staff friendly and helpful at a very reasonable rate. Definitely would return.

We stayed for 3 nights the staff is lovely, there is a lways someone on the premises. The room ,21, was large and the bathroom was clean and spacious. We had alittle trouble with the TV but we called down stairs and someone came right up to fix it. Breakfast was very tasty and easy parking on premises. It was in walking distance of all we were doing.

the surroundings are nice, nice houses, gardens, landscaping... but also full of homeless/drunks/drugged people, passed out on the street. It's really uncomfortable to walk around, zigzagging on the street to avoid unpleasant encounters and requests.

Room was spacious and very clean but could not get TV to work and no instructions for use. Breakfast was inconsistent as not offered juice on first day ( unaware it was available) only found out on 2nd day when other guests had it on their table. 2nd day no toast offered but when asked management his response was did you ask for it. We hoped for maybe cereal or bowl of fresh fruit so overall Breakfast was just adequate.

The property is quaint and well taken care of. The breakfast was excellent and there is parking on site for $10. Best of all, if you are in reasonably good health (we're 78 and 79), it is within walking distance of major sites (Byward Market, National Gallery, Notre Dame Cathedral, Parliament buildings, etc.).

The McGee Inn is conveniently located. The house has a historic charm and is very comfortable. The breakfast choices, quality, and presentation were excellent.
One minor disappointment was that the bathroom in my room could only be accessed from the corridor. This was very inconvenient. I believe that this unusual layout may only be associated with Room 14.

It's a lovely place, comfortable and quiet. It's small but very comfortable and clean. The Inn is 15 minutes' walking distance from downtown. It's affordable and very convenient.

This was our second stay at McGee's Inn, and it was wonderful. Our room was very clean and had all the amenities one would expect as well as some unexpected ones like lip balm and soothing bath crystals.
The location is great, short walk to downtown and the Byward Market, but still far enough away to be quiet for sleeping.
We would return again, and probably will.
