I stayed at Villa Del Palmar the last week of August 2024 with myself and my boyfriend. We stayed for 5 nights and checked in on a Sunday afternoon. The check-in process was easy however, they do require a $600 deposit [refundable after you check-out] which is totally fine, I just did not know about it before hand. The only downside was I wish they gave us the weekly resort activities list when we checked it. It wasn't till the second to last day that we realized there was activities and we asked the concierge and were given one.The room was your normal hotel room- it was clean but there were left over hand prints of kids and others on the bathroom door and the slider balcony door.The only thing that threw us off was the turn down/cleaning services. We would leave the room for the day and leave the card for it and they would come and make the bed change the towels- but at night we noticed about the third night they came back when we were out at dinner and left glasses on our night stand and chocolates which felt weird to us. Overall the food was fantastic, it is highly recommended you make your dinner reservations in advance- The buffet for breakfast is fantastic but at night for dinner is absolutely awful - we made the mistake of not making a reservation one night. This is a very safe hotel and I promise no one is at this hotel who is not a guest or an employee. It felt private and like a private beach with no hassles. I would recommend this hotel to anyway wanted a break!

I did not like that the staff show unhappiness when they see spanish or color guesses they don’t treat the people same. All they care is about 💵tip The better looking💵 you look the better they’ll treat you, I had all inclusive and of course I did tip well but like I said all they care is about how much in tips they gonna get. The place and the food is amazing Bring a lot cash because every movement it’s money there..

This property is absolutely amazing!!!! This is my second time and my family enjoyed the pools, activities, the staff and food was greatttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There were not many people staying at the resort. However, the property had areas under renovation. Two of the restaurants were being updated, and they were not available to us. So the choices to eat were limited. Also, we made arrangementes for transportation with tge resort, and the first vehicle that picked us up was so old, and drove so slow, we thought it would malfunction and would leave us stranded in the middle of the road. Luckily, we got to the resort ok. Only one of the two elevators in our area was working the entire time we were there. Also, the bathrooms were a little outdated, and no exhausting fan. The room didnt have much storage. The balcony with the hammock was a nice touch. We ended up paying extra $50 cash to have a room on the 4th floor to gave a view. The turndown service every night was nice. The food at the restaurants we went to ( with the exception of the outdoors/by the pool snack place) was very good. I just wish tgey had a place to go have dessert or something sweet. Overall, the resort was nice, but a little secluded.

Absolutely blown away by this resort !!! It’ll be hard to top, that we are wanting to go back already! The service was amazing, they make you feel like family. The beach was very well kept as it was seaweed season. We Snorkeled & paddle boarded on the beach that was included at the resort. We tried all the restaurants & they were all very delicious but the Italian restaurant & bar is unmatched !!! Enjoyed a lovely day at the spa with a couples massage such a wonderful & relaxing experience with the hot & cold therapy. I just can’t rave enough about how wonderful the staff was!! It was an amazing vacation !!!

Water has an awful smell. When you shower to brushing ur teeths. Water had a bad smell thru out all our stay. Overall i had a great experience and staff made it awesome. I will definitely be back.

What a positive experience! From the time we arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome, and throughout our entire stay we felt comfortable and well looked after! Staff were always there to ensure everything was taken care of so we could enjoy our stay to the fullest! The only negative was the day we had to leave this beautiful place! We look forward to coming again!

The check it was not until 4pm…it always says upgrades and early check in if available…it’s NEVER available…and the resort was not at full capacity..

Booked the all inclusive option for 2 adults and 2 children ages 11 and 13. We all had an excellent time at the resort and would highly recommend to all friends and family. All the onsite restaurants are great and we tried them all as well as the buffet on 2 nights. The beach and pool facilities are great and the service is excellent from waiting staff to housekeeping. We took 200 USD in tips and were happy to tip the staff for all the hard work they do. Only downside is disguising the welcome orientation as a timeshare pitch / members club etc. I guess it'd work for some folks but the reality is it is cheaper to vacation nowadays then it is to own and swap time at properties. Allow time for people to check in and enjoy their vacation before exploring if they want to spend more money without even experiencing the resort...which isnt cheap but worth every penny when you are there!

Wonderful staff! Everyone is so friendly and helpful. There is some serious deferred maintenance needed, such as the bridge structure rusting and missing pieces. Other than that, the food was delicious and our room upgrade was amazing. I would definitely recommend the all inclusive package, especially for families. Try the room service…it was the best I have had!

Our 5 night stay at this resort was excellent. My teen girls enjoyed pool, beach , food at this resort. Room service , cleanliness is good. I would like to go again.

Amazing experience !! our family enjoyed the pool, very good for kids. The Jolly Roger excursion is fun for the whole family. The beach is beautiful, the food is yummy. all the workers are super friendly and welcoming, We will come back, Beware of the time share people!
