The staff was very nice and helpful. We liked the location of the hotel because it was not in the most touristy area--a welcome break from the crowded sightseeing spots.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located (about a 10 min walk from the railway station). It isnt super close to the city center (about 20 min), but the walk isn’t too strenous (no hills!). Would recommend.

The room was splendid so luxurious. The breakfast is totally worth it and the staff was really nice. Definitely a place to visit again

Very excellent service. Lovely hotel. Very clean. Close to the train station and close to the tourist bit of York...but far enough away to be a lovely respite. Strangely no beer on tap at the bar but they do have beer in bottles and pubs close to the hotel.

Very nice and clean room. Large parking lot out back.

An Amazing hotel. Loved our room extremely comfortable and quiet. The roll top bath was so relaxing and the room had stairs to the bath and shower so unique. Decor was beautiful and our room was very clean (just someone’s sock under the bed. The bed was extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and will be definitely back !!

As they say " you get what you pay for ". Absolutely that is true in this case, stunning 4* hotel . Everything is just perfect in this hotel. Totally faultless in every aspect . Perfect location for a nice walk to the city surrounded by nice shops and restaurants. If you want a luxurious stay after walking around york this is the hotel for you.

Had a lovely stay. Quiet room, friendly and helpful staff. Food was good. Not many veg main options but plenty in other categories so had an excellent meal.

My wife and I had a wonderful, relaxing time. The hotel is perfectly located for easy access to York yet far enough away to not suffer from the rowdiness. Our room was amazing and the staff were so helpful and friendly it really felt like a home away from home.

Lovely deluxe room although it didn’t have a mini bar or fridge. The hotel itself is also nice but the service was very average and the staff were happy chatting amongst themselves rather than serving customers. The restaurant also ran out of some of the options, including steak on a Bank Holiday Saturday evening at 7.30!! Not good.

This hotel was lovely. The staff were exceptional...couldn't do enough for you ...friendly always smiling and made our stay so much pleasurable. They are a credit to the hotel Room we stayed in was The Crystal suite and it was beautifully decorated, well equipped , absolutely spotless. Bed extremely comfortable. Bathroom exceptional.

James was OUTSTANDING! Helped with our bags and a little problem in our bathroom. Really kind and eager to please. We liked him a lot!!

Great reception staff, very pleasant room. Poor continental breakfast on day one so I didn’t try cooked breakfast as lots of other options within twenty minute walk.

Family get together to celebrate my daughters 21st. Excellent service, excellent rooms, extremely clean. Eco friendly with incentives to guests to assist this drive. Breakfast service and quality of food was fabulous. Would definitely return.

Lovely hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast.

On arrival the receptionist were lovely. There was an issue with the system for check in but it was quickly resolved and the staff were so kind it wasn’t a problem at all. The man who showed us to our room went way too fast and I am fairly fit but could just about keep up with him. So it would be hard for a less fit or older person. Also the bar staff were quite rude. We got to the bar at 9:30 and I asked for an espresso martini the man at bar abruptly said the coffee machine has been turned off so I said can I have a piña colada and then he said I guess so looking quite put out. Then the next day a women at the bar was also rude when there had been a miscommunication about the drink she quickly became confrontational. Generally the visit was lovely as the room was lovely and the receptionist were great but the bar staff definitely let the hotel down a bit.
