Dropping off our first time university student We were luck to grab a last minute room Too as it was at a crazy rate Hotel is Right at the busiet and most confusing area of Ottawa No parking , we had to park 3levels away from the hotel at the mall ( as they are attached ) Walk quite a while to get to the hotel, With all our bags, Then upon reaching the hotel we found that we couldn’t get in at that access point as we hadn’t checked in yet We got lucky and caught a guest leaving to The mall So we Snuck in Front desk lady was not supportive of our journey to the hotel Her only reply was , well it is Labour Day weekend The cards for room took time to be assigned Just a pain The stay itself was average Super overpriced for a last minute stay

The last night, Saturday night, was a disaster as there was a wedding in a venue above our room which was on the 20th floor. I was told that music would stop at midnight. The loud, thumping, vibrating music continued until midnight. Impossible to sleep until it stopped. No discount offered as I had booked room through EXPEDIA !!!!!!! Hate to pay $300 and not be able to have a good nights sleep

Absolutely loved staying at the Westin Ottawa. It’s convenient location to the Rideau Centre and walking distance to all tourist attractions is very pleasing. All the staff are friendly and polite. I would definitely recommend staying here and will stay there again.

Loved the bicycles on site for riding along the Rideai canal.

Booked a 2 night stay to celebrate our 50th anniversary. From arrival until our departure we were treated with courtesy, professionalism and made us feel like we were more than just guests. Room was well appointed. Cleaning staff did an excellent job after our first night. Especially appreciated the little extras sent to our room to mark our anniversary.

Booked a 2 night stay to celebrate our 50th anniversary. From arrival until our departure we were treated with courtesy, professionalism and made us feel like we were more than just guests. Room was well appointed. Cleaning staff did an excellent job after our first night. Especially appreciated the little extras sent to our room to mark our anniversary.

Our first room smelled horrendously of overpowering body odour - and the masking agent someone came to spray made no difference. The shower caulking was covered in black mould. We were moved to another room, which was cleaner but also smelled very bad. The cupboard doors were badly damaged. There are very few electrical outlets and only one of us could charge our phones at the bedside via the clock radio. The neighbourhood is a heartbreaking morass of the extremely marginalized and felt unsafe by early evening. Paying for parking via an app that required a precise time of departure was an unnecessary irritation and the confusion at the elevators due to new e-pads instead of buttons was inefficient. Sometimes new tech isn't better. This has always been our favourite Ottawa hotel but was terribly disappointing.

Not mentioned was that I had to go to the Mall to pay for parking ahead of departing the lot. We were on there one day. Request you have you folks identify this when folks arrive to prevent the from occurring.

The food at the dining room restaurant was excellent.

Excellent welcome and service from Jackson. Clean and comfortable rooms and walking distance from parlement hill, the market and lots of shops and restaurants.
