Very good hotel very central near the train station and pubs and restaurants we will use the hotel again the next time we are visiting the city

The hotel is in a brilliant location.The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant staff who are first class. The food is fantastic, the choice and quality at breakfast is exceptional. The meal we had on the Saturday night was delicious and so flavoursome. Top marks to the kitchen!
The room was on the 6th floor and, whilst very spacious with an enormous bed, unfortunately it faced the main road and was surprisingly noisy both day and night. The cleanliness left a little to be desired, it never seemed to see a hoover with fluff on the floor.
We would definitely stay there again. It was a positive experience overall but we'd try and get a room at the back of the hotel if that was feasible.

Toilet was dirty when I arrived and found a fake eyelash on my pillow. They told me they would sort it out but offered nothing.

Loved staying here, even extended my trip an extra day because I didn't want to leave York or my room. The room was extremely clean and very spacious. The tub and large shower were such a bonus. The bed was very comfortable. There are plenty out USB outlets in case you forget your adapters. The room service was excellent. Dining and drinking at the hotel were exceptionally nice. Staff was wonderful. Will definitely be staying here again on my next trip.

Unfortunately I asked if I could stay and move in and they said no. I think that speaks volumes.
The room was incredibly clean and spacious. Really liked the small details such as the floor nightlight that came in when you were venturing to the loo at 3am! The shower is amazing. Rainforest shower and normal shower. Extremely quiet despite being in the middle of the city centre. Pulled and duvets were of a high spec and the bed as the comfiest ever. Television was behind a sliding picture frame.
In future,any city trips and I will be eyeballing my husband to book a Malmaison hotel.

Room was clean but not enough basic amenities such as toilet roll. We tried asking for more but the man did not understand us.
Quilt on bed was ripped but clean.
Not fussed on the bathroom layout. No privacy whilst in shower and not enough large towels provided.
Would stay again as a good location. Did not try the reasturants or bar.

The family and I have no complaints, the suite was very spacious, well equipped and clean. All necessities were present.
I’ve enjoyed the breakfast as it has everything you need, This was more than adequate.

Great location, lovely room and hotel however the toilet was grim in the room. It had textured wall paper and you could see all splash marks on the wall paper when the light was on. It was quite gross really. All around the toilet and on the walls. It felt like a germ fest in there. Wipeable surface would be much better.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay - staff were excellent throughout, only downside was I’d booked for the rooftop terrace, but when we got up the sides had been drawn down and we were not allowed to have our drinks outside - the reason given was that it was too cold, but we’d have been fine outside for the time we were staying so not sure whether that was just a bit of a premature closure.

The hotel itself is lovely. Rooms are really nice - big bed, very modern decor. All great. The only thing is we chose this place for the fact that it lists it has parking but there definitely isn’t and parking nearby is £25/24 hours, which the hotel doesn’t comp.

Lovely, quirky hotel with easy access to the railway station, the wall, the river and central York. The room was comfy and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Anniversary getaway. Staff very friendly in the bar and a good welcome on check in.
Could leave bags with reception- no fuss. Steak was ok in the restaurant, but nothing to write home about.
