Big house and own pool.

It was crazy cold and the house can't be used in winter. It was 13 degrees Celsius at night and we had to sleep in hats and jackets. And my wife caught a cold and was sick for a week after one night in the house. We had to leave the house the next day because it's was torture at night. Also, the host didn't want to return money for the nights we didn't spend. Only after I said that I'm gonna call the police - he agreed to come and return the money. Apart from that, the house didn't have basic things for comfort staying - there wasn't even soap or towels! And the host said that it isn't included and it's extra.

The host, Omar, was very helpful. He provided us with lots of details prior to arriving, arranged an early check in and late check out for us willingly. He also gave us a lift to the local Carrefour to get our weeks food supply when we arrived and arranged us a day trip on the dolphin house boat tour, which was amazing. The furnishing was quality, with comfy beds, a big internet enabled TV, plenty of sun loungers and furniture around the pool. The pool was a great size, with a shallow area that is safe for small children but also deep enough for adults to dive and swim. The garden is completely enclosed and very private with no other villas overlooking the garden or pool area. The pool is shaded which means the water was quite cold but I think this would be an advantage at other times of the year when it is generally much warmer. Evenings were spectacular with everything lit up beautifully, the garden has a large BBQ and easily sat 8 sitting around the outdoor table. The gardener, Ahmed, came in every evening to clean and tidy the garden but he was happy to do this at a time that suited us so it had no impact on our stay or use of the villa. The villa was easy to locate in Mubarak 6 area and had a Carrefour in walking distance about 15 minutes and restaurants like Hard Rock Cafe and tourist shops about 20 minutes or so. We also ordered pizza hut that was delivered to the villa. This was easy to do and no issues with us only speaking English. It is very close to the airport but we were not disturbed by this. It would be an ideal location if you were flying into Hurgarda airport. Thank you to Omar and his family for a very pleasant stay. We look forward to coming back again soon.
