central location. close to restaurants and infamous Malecon boardwalk. easy to travel by foot if you’ve decided to not rent a car.

it’s a bit pricey for a 3 star hotel. I’m not a picky one. maybe the price was hiked up for winter break. I had to plug In the refrigerator, lamps , there were scattered rules posted around the apartment about keeping bedroom doors closed when AC was running. . . it’s a bit rundown. otherwise it served its purpose.

The staff were great, the location was perfect for Puerto Vallarta. The roof top pool was nice.

Although the suite was large the lack of windows to the outside was really disappointing. The room did not close to meet the expectations as described on the Booking.com site. As such we feel we did not get the value for the amount paid. We think we got the worst room location per floor in the hotel. This property caters to long stays of a month or more and with the right room it is great. We saw one of them that we would have loved.

The one negative is that the Wi-Fi is not very good. The building is nothing but concrete so it's hard to get service inside. May not be the best work from home location as we are work from home travelers

the room had great facilities. Cooker, microwave, coffee maker, toaster. pool on the roof. less than five minutes to the beach and the centre of the malecón. I was only there for one night but if I’d discovered it earlier I would have spent my whole 4 weeks there.

The location near the Cuale River is beautiful as well as central to everything in the Romantic Zone and only a few minutes' walk from the malecón. We found our suite perfect for our needs for a week-long stay. The suite appeared to have been recently painted and bathroom and kitchen had clean, new-looking tiles. (If you plan to cook a fair amount you would probably need to invest a bit for dish towels, a mixing bowl, etc. We prepared only simple, uncooked items and used a drip coffee maker, toaster, microwave, fridge, dishes and utensils.) We really enjoyed our balcony where a large bougainvillea gave us privacy and birdwatching. The hotel and rooms are kept very clean as is the rooftop terrace with comfortable lounge chairs and shallow pools. The view is wonderful. There is drinking water from a faucet just down the hall from the suite. One of our priorities is cleanliness, but without the strongly-scented chemical products usually used for floors and laundering sheets and towels. To our great satisfaction, Suites Plaza del Rio manages to keep everything extremely clean without these toxic products. A special thank you to front-desk staff members Misael and Monica, and to Rocío, our housekeeping lady, for their professionalism as well as friendly, pleasant treatment of guests.

Wi-Fi is good everywhere in the suite except on the balcony. There is too much emphasis on making sure that nothing is missing from the suite. For example, we noted one small spoon was missing (there were supposed to be four of each utensil) and in order not to be charged for it when the 500-peso deposit is returned after inspection of the suite at the end of the stay, we let staff know right away we needed a replacement.

The hotel suites were large and included a kitchen plus 2 bathrooms. Very nice staff. Also an elevator

The bed was hard

We arrived a lot earlier than our Check-In time with all our luggage and was so pleased when the hotel asked if we wanted to leave our bags while we explored a little of the surrounding area. After checking in we found the huge room and balcony well kept, spotlessly clean, sanitised surfaces and floors adding which only added to us feeling lucky of finding such a warm welcome and maintained hotel. The maintenance is always on going and was lovely so see gardener’s cutting back and reporting trees and plant’s throughout our stay keep the rooftop immaculately. The main room has a dining area with large TV, full kitchen, super large American size fridge freezer, breakfast bar with lots of sockets and in addition to the dining table we loved the Mexican style cushioned seating. With a bathroom and shower with hot running water anytime of day and night between the main room and bedroom it gives privacy to the bedroom where I huge bed which was so comfortable I will be ordering one when we return home. The safe for valuables in the room and towels available from reception are free so we took full advantage. If you need to do some washing then the laundry is on the second floor which all the hot wings around the town I found handy to wash my white shirt I had worn the night before. The daily maid service of clean towels, bedding more sanitising was done with all the attention to detail one can’t help respect how hard everyone work to keep standard high in the hotel. With most of central PV on the doorstep its in a fantastic position to go and explore. Couldn’t fault it if we are doing this way again then we definitely be booking with you again .

The wi fi didn’t work very well. Sometimes it didn’t work at all. No one offered to help me with my bags. I decided not to cook. There isn’t any air conditioning in the living room and kitchen.

The bedrooms were huge, beds and pillows very comfortable. The little pools on the roof are nice and clean, the location is awesome.

Lights weren't bright enough. The shower door didn't lock while taking a shower it was very uncomfortable to be holding the door with my foot.

property is in a very good location, very convenient to go to Malecón and the Zona Romantica. The apartment is fairly spacious. There was a small kitchen, and a refrigerator, and several pots and pans although they were not in very good condition.

The property itself is very old and tired. Everything seemed very greasy and dirty, there were constantly ants all over our apartment. There was only one air-conditioning unit in the bedroom, so if you were hanging in the living space it was extremely hot. The pool is only a foot deep, and the jacuzzis were never hot. I never saw anyone cleaning the pools. I would have paid the extra $50 to stay at a nicer place, if I had known how uncomfortable the accommodations were.
