We booked a 4-BR stay and got a 3-BR property. We did not enjoy our stay. No Keurig, garbage bins in bathrooms, and knives & bowls for cooking. Oil paint scent on walls kept us up all nights. Mouse was sighted & killed. No parking.

Our check-in was at 4 PM, we arrived tired at 7 PM and there was a lady sitting in one of the rooms, watching TV. We had to ask her to leave and she said we could stay as long as we wanted and she would continue cleaning the other rooms. We had to leave the apartment and return at 8:30 PM so she would have time to finish. The kitchen cabinets were all dirty and had food inside. The bathrooms were dirty, including the bathroom in the suite, which had a problem with the shower, you either have to drink cold water or you have to drink super hot water, there is no way to mix the two. One of the rooms has no bed, there are 3 old mattresses piled up. There were underwear on the dresser in one of the rooms. Unfortunately, the neighborhood is also dangerous, we saw people stealing 2 cars one block from where we live. I took several photos and it's a shame I can't send them for everyone to see, but it really shouldn't be a unit on this site. The owner lives in the apartment downstairs, and was friendly during our stay, but the apartment is unfortunately horrible.

I booked this place for me, my sister and 2 adult nieces. I did book for just 1 person accidentally. On the afternoon of my arrival I had not heard from him regarding a code to get in. I sent a message asking for the code as well as where the nearest laundry would be. He responded by asking me “if I was coming alone” and by saying, “he would take me to where the laundry was” when I got there at midnight. He then called me to ask the same question… was I coming alone? I said No and asked why he wanted to know. He said because I had only booked for 1 person even though it’s a 4 bedroom apartment. I assured him I was not alone and told him it would be midnight or so when we arrived. When we arrived there was NO PARKING as promised. There was a space to the right of his vehicle. I tried to get into that space but couldn’t. I called him and he said to just pull into that space. I explained I could not. I had already had to send him a second messages asking for the code. Because f his earlier questions about coming alone, I already didn’t feel very safe but when we arrive to our 3rd floor apartment all lights are on. In my call I asked him about that and he just kept saying, “can you just go in???” He asked if JUST ONE OF US could come inside to just see the place. I told him I was not comfortable at all with this environment. My gut said this was sent safe for women traveling alone and I asked for a refund which he has so far refused

If you are looking for a bed and shower. This place is right for you. Plenty of space for at least 8 people. The beds were clean. The property MANAGER IS/WAS phenomenal!!! He was so caring and helpful!!! I cannot say enough how GREAT he made us feel comfortable and safe!!! Only giving 3 stars because I think it needs some updates. Other than that. I’d book again. It’s so close to the train station. We appreciated it!!!

My family first arrived with more than intended so I made a verbal agreement with the owner to pay for additional guest. He seemed like he was willing to work with us. After already staying there we found out that the room with a locked door belongs to a man that lives there and he only uses the bathroom in the morning. I immediately reached out to him and he reassured that he may not be there. This was very unsettling so I asked him to come check. He knocked but never opened the door. We trusted him and decided to stay the last night. After we agreed to a few additional hours we came back to pack up. When we arrive to our surprise it was luggage outside the door then a family in the kitchen amongst our stuff! You can only imagine how upset and surprised we were. We were not advised it was a shared space and our privacy was violated and agreement breached.

My family and I had a great stay. Had everything we need and locations is convenient. We would recommend this place!!

The house was great, overall! I loved the real, oak, hardwood floors...they were beautiful. A lot of hot water which was important because it was so cold this trip. Nice big kitchen. Nice bedrooms with great & comfortable beds & each bedroom had it's own dresser & closet for storing clothes. I NEVER felt unsafe in the house or walking 3 blocks to the bus pickup. Nice bus line close to the house for only $2.00 and it was only $5.00 to get from there into Times Square by the train. We heard no noise from the other neighbors & they seemed nice when we passed them. An Uber was only $15 to $25 to get into Times Square or to the mall in Newark. Overall, we had a terrific time at the house & with the owner. I would recommend this to everyone! Thanks for the great time for me & my family on our vacation there!

The property manager was friendly, helpful and accommodating. This was a trip to celebrate a friend's birthday. Having four bedrooms make it comfortable for a group of eight.
