Breakfast excellent, as is location.

Nothing, it was exactly as expected and good value for money.

Meals were very good. Lots of choice at breakfast, huge meals in the evening. Location was quiet and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Something on every night at 9 pm (quizzes, bingo etc) although we didn’t go to any. Rooms were not modern, but sufficient for short stay.

We found the bed not very comfortable but we are used to a bigger and firmer bed. Stairs were difficult for me as I have a health issue, but I knew there were stairs before we booked, but not good for anyone with mobility issues.

Very friendly staff, amazing bar and great room. great location to discover the island from.

Facilities quite faded and tired

Had fantastic holiday on Arran staying at the Ormidale Hotel - again! A perfect base to explore the island, wonderful staff always make you feel at home. Bar and restaurant is a very relaxing place to unwind, mixture guests and locals with a great atmosphere. Breakfast is excellent and lots of choice, great start to the day. Beautiful setting, fabulous garden, plenty parking space, just a very chilled and unique hotel, back home now but missing the place already. Highly recommended 🙌

Lorna and Trevor great hosts. Our room was clean with tea and coffee on hand. The en suite had walk in shower and lovely large soft white towels,. Soap and shower gel provided. We ate in the bar in the evening and enjoyed the home cooked food. There was a music quiz and music bingo on the nights we were there which Trevor made great fun and very entertaining. The pub is busy and used by local families as well as tourists. All in all a very enjoyable stay at the Ormidale.

Only thing I would say is that the hotel is a bit tired looking and could do with freshening up in most area.

Lovely, friendly welcome. Our room was very clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. The food was fantastic, delicious breakfasts and the portions for dinner were very generous. We would highly recommend staying here, we look forward to visiting again.

The Staff was lovely. And bar is super nice and food was good.

There is no 24 hours reseption so we tried to ask everyting needed during the breakfast.

Lovely setting and grounds!

Pleasant helpful staff.some of whom were clearly unwell and probably should not have been at work,but battled on regardless of todays manic COVID health concerns.

Lack of hygiene protocols by bar staff when handling glasses etc.

They take dogs. The food and quantities were brilliant. The staff really nice.

The poor tv reception and phone reception. No obvious restricted mobility access. Certainly no front access ramp or signs to any elsewhere.

The room was lovely and the en suite was modern and all spotless. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The bar is expensive but expected as its an island

First stay on Arran and so glad I chose to stay at the Ormidale Hotel, had a fabulous time. My room was lovely and comfortable, wonderful en suite. Just loved the breakfast, lots of choice, and always perfectly cooked, served with a smile every morning! There is a Bar and restaurant on site, used by residents and locals alike, great company and fun entertainment. Staff are superb, friendly and always happy help. This is perfect base for exploring Arran. I can't wait to come back, Liz X 🤸🥰

The place is more cozy and comfortable than we expected. And it actually looks better than you might assume from the photos. It is an old building with its special vibe and history, lovely small rooms are nicely refurbished. The staff is just amazing - wonderful, friendly people. Also, there’s a bar/restaurant at the hotel. It is open daily (like none of the other places in Brodick) and every evening it becomes the heart of the place - gathering locals and guests in a noisy cheerful mixture. A separate word needs to be said about the master of the place - Trevor - who usually lights up the evenings with his charismatic quizzes and bingo games. We decided to stay for one extra night and definitely would love to return to Ormidale and the Isle of Arran again

If you usually choose more fancy and contemporary places to stay, rather than authentic and cozy, you might consider Ormidale a bad choice.
