They prepared a lantern-making program, and it was so touching that they prepared it with such sincerity and prepared pretty pictures along with souvenirs after the event.

Great hotel. But restaurants and room service should run later, particularly in a city such as Hong Kong.

Longest check-in I’ve ever experienced. When we got a room it smelled cigarettes and smoke so badly - asked to change but they only provided a odour-absorbing spray which didn’t work at all. Breakfast was superb tho.

Kowloon Shangri-La is a bit aged and outdated, location is excellent, staff is nice, but not the amenities.

What was really unique was the magnificent panorama seen from the room. The size of the suite 827 is also excellent. Good buffet breakfast.

Wonderful location. The subway station is just right outside. Staffs are super friendly. Although the hotel is fairly old but the room size is bigger than most of new hotels. It good for family if you want to add extra bed.

A personal favorite for 40 years

Everything about the Shangri La Kowloon is fantastic but there were a lot of the staff who lacked a lot in training and communication something I didn’t experience in previous stays at this property when perfection was the order of the day

Hotel is well located next to the TST East station. The staff at the Horizon Club are extremely polite and gave us excellent service. In particular, the Horizon Club manager, Hayden Kwan was very welcoming and attended to my aged parents' needs really well.

Enjoyed our stay. Staff was helpful and friendly. Location was convenient, steps away from MTR.

We recently stayed at the Kowloon Shangri-la and had a mixed experience. The location is absolutely fantastic, right in the heart of the city with easy access to major attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. It's perfect for anyone looking to explore the city. The food at the hotel's restaurant was another highlight. Unfortunately we only got to try the breakfast buffet but I must say, it offered a wide variety of delicious options, with fresh ingredients and excellent presentation. Loved the fact that it had a menu catering to people from all over the world. However, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed to absolutely lack courteousness, hospitality and friendliness. There was absolutely no smile on their faces and the entire experience seemed very transactional with both the front office and the F&B staff. During check-in, there was a long wait, and the front desk staff appeared overwhelmed. The only 2 teams that were really helpful and made our stay worth remembering was the housekeeping and the concierge. The concierge and bell desk especially were extremely efficient and eager to assist. Huge thanks to Dante from the bell desk. Another disappointment was the size of the swimming pool. Never in my life have I come across a 5 star property with a swimming pool the size of a puddle. Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential, but the management needs to address the service issues and facilities to truly provide a great stay for its guests.
