The rock church's and the geographical are ,the whole things amazing

Sora Lodge Lalibela is a great place to chill out in the historic town of Lalibela. The staff were friendly. The view from the Sun Set Bar was amazing.

great location and very friendly staff who even found a doctor in the middle of one night when it became necessary. The view from the rooms could not be better and the food in the restaurant was also superb. we stayed for a whole week and did not get tired of it. In addition to the churches, there are some.very nice hiking trails for which a guide is recommended though.

Nice lodge in a beautiful garden with spectacular views. It’s located in a quite neighbourhood of Lalibela and has a great outdoor bar with sunset views. Rooms in the Tukul-style huts have good bathrooms, comfortable beds and nice private sitting areas. They also arrange transport and excellent guides for the churches.

Vegetarian options in the restaurant are ok, but not exiting.

I really liked the cabin in which we stayed. It was clean and nice. Although there was no mosquito net. The view is amazing and we really liked how silent it was at night.

Breakfast needs to be improved. I was baffled that there was no butter.

In the bar, there are all sorts of international drinks, but there is no Ethiopian honey wine. The staff was so friendly, they said they would bring for us in the next day, but we were only staying a weekend. The breakfast did not have much variety.

I spent a weekend with my partner and a group of friends in Lalibela. We really enjoyed our stay at Sora Lodge and couldn’t recommend it enough. All of the staff were kind and helpful—Habte, the owner, came by to check in with all of the guests at the lodge to ensure we were having a good time. The breakfast was quite good, as were the meals and drinks at the restaurant and sunset bar, and the lodge was able to accommodate someone in our group with special dietary needs. We liked that there were many options for rooms; we stayed in one of the tukul rooms and found it to be quiet, comfortable and very clean. More than anything, we absolutely loved the view from the lodge (including all of our rooms) and the design of all parts of the property. It’s a beautiful and peaceful place, and you can see that a lot of care and attention to detail was put into everything. We were not ready to leave!

Beautiful location. The chef provided a special meal upon request. Staff was accommodating and friendly.

I paid more for a room with television. The tv didn’t work, WiFi down, fridge not cold. Night receptionist was rude.

We had a great time in our trip to Lalibela. The location is perfect although far from the busy town. For us it was a plus! Also the amazing views from the room , cafe and restaurant make it a unique place! The personal was more than attentive and friendly. Many thanks to the dedication and kindness from the spectacular employees there specially the kindness of Medi Lovely andTigst and the dedication from the great chef Mekuanint. His food ( Ethiopian dishes) are delicious! Many thanks again for my birthday surprise! I ll never forget it! The have the best hotel restaurant that we had in our trip! We stay there 4 day but wasn't enough ... Just the best place to stay and eat in Lalibela! Congratulations!!!
