A lovely apartment in a nice neighborhood but it wasn't a 2 bedroom apartment as described on the listing. In the end I had to move to a hotel as we specifically needed 2 separate bedrooms. Bed linen stained. The host responded to messages quite quickly (e.g. regarding the WiFi) but there was no resolution on the rooms. Check in wasn't a simple process as the key was kept several minutes walk away from the property.

Great location as it was very close to all of the main Berlin sites. Close to Ubahn and enjoyed the quiet are. Owner was quick with communication before and during our stay.

We were a little cramped with 5 people but the space was perfect for our 2 nights in Berlin. The location is near two grocery stores and several pubs and cafes. There is metered street parking in the immediate area, which we used, and public transportation is also very close by. The kitchen is equipped with the basics for making meals or snacks. The bathroom is quite spacious. Communication for check-in was great. The owner provided updated check-in details and was quick to respond to questions during our stay.

We got a different place to stay. Communication was very poor. We couldn’t find the key. Someone was in apartment when we got there.

Very bright and open space. The sunsets from the balcony overlooking the church were amazing. So glad the apartment building has a lift. Would stay here again!

A clean and quiet sanctuary with access to subway nearby and 1/2 hour walk to main attractions. Great little bar on corner to wecome you home each evening and two balconies to choose from to wind down after a busy day. We would return here next time we return to Berlin!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The two patio/balconies we a wonderful part of our vacation. Location was quiet but close to bustling areas. Robin was prompt in replies.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay and loved the balcony views for sunrises and sunsets. The apartment is located just steps from a city tram that easily connects to other hubs with S-bahns and U-bahns and is also steps from Kastanienallee, which has amazing restaurants and shops. What the kitchen lacks (no spatulas, measuring cups, microwave), the location more than makes up for. The apartment itself has a very nice layout and feels quiet and away from the bustling city due to it being on the top floor of a beautiful apartment building. The apartment also had an elevator, which helps with kids tired from exploring the city all day.

Beautiful apartment. Exactly as listed. Comfy bed and very quiet. Great local area for food, drinks, culture and general wanderings. Close to U-Bahn and tram so everything in the city centres is very close to hand too. Robin was a fab host and responded in a timely manner. The apartment itself is comfortable and the two terraces are a real bonus for a top floor apartment. Looking out over the church and sunset, after a long day touristing, was just perfect. We’re already planning our next trip as Berlin is such a great place and the German people are so welcoming. My one suggestion for improvement would be to renew the black-out blind in the bedroom and add another to the side window which is not square. As it was early summer when we stayed the beautiful morning light woke me up at sunrise. But this wouldn’t stop us booking again as it is one of the nicest holiday lets we’ve stayed in. Thanks Robin. We’ll be back!

This is a beautiful large apartment with a balcony view of the historic 19th century Zionskirche in a charming neighborhood that retains some of the character of old east Berlin. The apartment is charming and well equipped. It's walkable to a number of cages, bars (Roberto--amazing gorgeous bar down the street.) You can walk to Arkonaplatz park and really any number of shops, parks etc. This was a memorable experience!

We could not have chosen a more perfect place for our visit to Berlin. We were there while my husband received medical treatment. The apartment itself was very clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening and watching the sunset. The neighborhood was quiet allowing us time to relax after a long day. The location was perfect! Very easy access to trains and was in walking distance to a nice grocery store and tons of restaurants. I felt very safe in the neighborhood. I would definitely recommend!!

Nice to deal with — postponement.

This large apartment is located on the top floor of a quiet residential building. It has two terraces which must be wonderful in nice weather. We stayed in February so while it was cold outside the apartment was lovely and warm. There is one bedroom with a terrace and then there is a large living room, with the second terrace, which has a pullout bed which can easily be used as a second bedroom. The separate kitchen was well equipped. The bathroom is large and has a washing machine. The bathroom has a bath with a hand held shower but not a stand alone shower.The neighborhood is marvelous, there are pastry shops around the corner for breakfast, there is a large selection of restaurants within walking distance, as well as bars, coffee shops, book shops and interesting boutiques. The location is perfect for transport, there is a tram stop with two lines about two minutes away, you can use the tram to get to the U-Bahn or the S-Bahn, or you could walk to either as they're pretty close. We were able to walk to Museum Island and from Alexnderplatz to the apartment without difficulty, which is an indication of how perfectly located the apartment is. Also, being right beside the landmark Zionkirsche makes it easy to find your way home.Last but not least, communication with Robin was easy, he replied promptly to my queries, and texting with Gerlinde who met us and showed us the apartment was easy. And while we did not need their help when we stayed it was comforting to know that they were there for us should we have needed them.Friends who live in Berlin recommended we look in this area, I am glad they did. Berlin is a fabulous city, and, when we return, this is the apartment I would hope is available for us.Thank you to Robin and Gerlinde for making our visit to Berlin such a pleasure.

Great neighborhood. Lovely decks. Plenty of space for two adults and two kids. Living room-dining room area can have doors short and act like a bedroom. However, the fold out futon couch is very uncomfortable on the “back half” in particular. We also could have used better pillows. Overall a great place, but one in our party slept very poorly all week.

Excellent neighborhood and lovely, airy apartment.

We have stayed in the Prenzlauer Berg district before and love the area, so it was great to be able to stay there again in Robin's apartment. The apartment is as described, well appointed and having the two balconies is great (even if it was a bit chilly and we couldn't use them much in March). Transportation, restaurants and shopping are all easily accessible. Communication with Robin was good and he was easy to work with. My only nit is that after we booked and paid for the apartment we were informed of an additional city tax that would need to be paid in cash upon arrival. Not a big deal, but I feel that should have been disclosed prior to us paying, and I don't understand why it wasn't built into the VRBO quote/pricing system.
