The location is great, just a couple blocks away from Piccadilly. The pods were nice, and it was good to have a curtain for privacy. It was frustrating because the wifi was down for the entire stay, and the electricity only worked for a few hours at night because there was a lot of work being done. I had booked the hostel to finish some online work before traveling, so it was quite annoying that I had to go elsewhere to find a good internet connection. Also, the hostel lists laundry facilities as being available—that's not true. There is no washer/dryer at this location for guests.

Great vibe and lovely staff. Clean basic double room (no tv) Perfect for a Saturday night stay in Manchester...but if you don’t want to be in party central this might not be the place for you. Bring ear plugs if you’re sensitive to people enjoying themselves outside all night. Would definitely stay here again

Good value in excellent location. A little noisier than we expected being above a bar however the ear plugs were a welcome addition. The room was clean and compact but could of done with a chair and some glasses for drinks of water as we were’t sure whose were who’s in the communal area. It was really warm and you couldn’t open the windows however there was good fan. The communal area is nice and modern. You can leave luggage whilst you shop in a locker room which is great. The hostel is very well equipped, the area is very close to downtown and the staff is nice and friendly. I personally don’t like there are no male dorms, I wouldn’t stay longer there because of this reason.

A great place to stay for a night or two. I really liked the privacy the curtained bunks give. Great value - I’m returning with my partner for a weekend in November!

I was upgraded from a 4 bed dormitory to a private room with an ensuite, which was lovely! The room was spacious and clean, but I couldn't get the shower to run hot water. Location was excellent, super central.

Great hostel. Common area to chill in, private twin room had its own toilet/shower as advertised. Very noisy in room 114 on the corner with nightlife and music going past 3am at the weekend. 2 mins of research and you should know that’s what the area is like though, so no stars deducted for that!

Don't expect a quiet night as the area is full of bars, room is clean with towels and toiletries. Would definitely come back.

Unexpected cleanliness, I cleaned the area with wipes, only few stains on it, the common area always keeps clean, it's really great. Recommended to budget travellers. Small deduction because I couldn't find the shower gels and no recycle bins. Small little thing only.

It was very noisy, it was st. patrick’s day but i imagine with the amount of bars around including one just off the lobby as long as it’s a thursday to saturday it'll be loud till 2am

Delivered what it said it would, in vibrant location of the city

Overall the stay was good and the staff was awesome.But the common washarea for the dormitory was not clean.

The staff were all super friendly, helpful and very informative. The room was clean and the beds were made and were very comfortable to sleep in. However, the shower wasn’t thoroughly cleaned (though it’s not a that big of an issue because overall the bathroom was clean) and it took a while to get some hot water running while taking a shower. But overall my stay at this hotel was lovely and I will come back someday soon. So I really do recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay while in Manchester. And a huge plus is that it was really close to town and to a shopping mall and all kinds of shops and restaurants (the shopping mall took around 6 minutes to walk to, most shops took 3 - 4 minutes to walk to and some were just around the corner and restaurants were all also just about a 3 - 5 minute walk as well as around the corner). So if you’re looking for a nice place to stay for a great price, then this is the place to go to!

I booked this hotel in the trendy Northern Quarter of Manchester with high expectations. Unfortunately, none of these expectations were met. Check in was good and the room came with a welcome drink in the bar/pub on the ground floor. The room however, was a massive disappointment. I didn't think it was in good condition, the bathroom wasn't well cleaned, it was so basic it didn't even have a TV. Worse of all, the water never got hot and so it was lukewarm showers. Not one for me and I won't be back.

The location was nice and the privacy of the beds was great

We really were happy with our stay here. It is in the perfect location, being the Northern Quarter which makes everything very easy to get to. Initially, I entered the room to find a lot of mould and damp in the bathroom and bedroom. After speaking with downstairs, they were very helpful and very quick to sort me out with another room, given I am asthmatic, and we were very pleased with the upgrade! I could not express how pleased we were. We will definitely be coming again!
