Everything was great especially my butler Roland !!!!!!!

This hotel is marketed as a 5 star resort. It also promotes upgraded services that are very much lackluster. The butler service is a scam there’s 1 butler to every 5 groups which makes it impossible to receive the attention they advertise. They also had emergency construction happing literally right outside of my door. Which was a super inconvenience being that you typically go on vacation to relax. Absolutely not worth all the money spent to stay at this resort and I will be looking to have some sort of refund given back to me for my inconvenience.

Where do I start Expedia got us a Diamond Club upgrade! The staff were amazing. Best customer service I’ve ever had at a resort. Specifically butler -Darleny. She went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience at Royalton. She even got us home made chicken noodle soup when my daughter’s stomach was upset. Hands down Darleny and her crew were amazing. Everyone looked for ways to service us and upgrade your experience. I look forward to trying ALL the Royalton after this experience they are my go to for all inclusive resorts. My cousin went to Royalton St Lucia and was equally impressed so it’s ROYALTON for the win for us! BTW you must book Diamond Club for butler service. Trust me it’s definitely worth every penny.

Beautiful adults only all inclusive resort! Right on the beach which is beautiful!!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurants was great. Only thing I did not like was the room service food. It didnt seem fully cooked/well made most of the time. I would stay at this resort again.

I wish this resort advertised itself as COUPLES adults only; as this was not a resort for single adults. When we arrived, as soon as exiting the car there was flooding from the storm and the entire front area where checkin and activities are held, smelled like feces. We later realized it was the sewage system. The rep at checkin was not friendly nor did she explain the benefits allotted to us as Expedia guests. She did not explain the layout of the resort nor where our room was located. It was very unprofessional. Events, shows were frequently cancelled without notice or nothing to replace it. The staff had no idea what was going on and where things were located (probably a language barrier). Our room was filthy. We had to request the maid clean the floors and change the linen as soon as we arrived. The facility is outdated. I’m glad I didn’t upgrade to Diamond club. I told staff we were staying for mother’s bday. They ignored the request and didn’t acknowledge her with birthday on door. The food was awful and selection was minimal. We could never get reservations for the other restaurants; although it was not crowded during our stay. The best part of our stay was the workout programs and coaches. I will never stay at another Royalton property because of my stay with Chic Royalton. I definitely will not refer anyone to stay there either. I have stayed at several resorts in Punta Cana and never have I had such an awful experience.

I would not recommend this hotel at all upon arriving and getting out of our vehicle you were hit with a horrible odor that smelt like sewer before you even checked in your room. I should have knew it was only going get worst after that. Checking in was horrible all the workers have limited English and the lady checking us in was extremely rude. She didn’t offer us any information about the hotel events, restaurants etc.. She handed us a paper took our credit card for deposit and sent us on our way. We get to the room the room was outdated with dirty floors, holes in the walls and a bed that felt like concrete. The food was horrible, we couldn’t get in to the restaurants to eat but I’m sure they probably weren’t better. The staff at the bars were rude of you weren’t tipping they were barely paying attention to you and I’m a tipper i tip generously because i know they live off of tips so i don’t mind it’s essential for me to tip, but please provide me with good service. The tvs in the rooms were all in Spanish with limited service it took me a day to figure out how to switch it to English as the maintenance tech had no idea how to fix it not even sure if they understood. Also this is not a resort for single people that are looking to have fun and party. This resort was full of couple and older ppl and lacked entertainment. I would not recommend this resort at all

My stay at Royalton Chic was amazing. We had diamond club privileges and it exceeded expectations. Our Butler Teundi was amazing and made sure that we had everything we needed at our fingertips. I would definitely stay here again!

The property was great but I see it can use some renovation to update it since it has been long standing. But I had a great experience. No complaints.

I would never stay in this hotel ever again. We travel frequently and had never experience such inadequacies before. To start, the air condition in our room was not working and we had to chase the staff a day and a half to finally get moved to another room. Secondly, the noise at night was unbearable. We wanted to stay in an adults only for a serene experience, and this place was not it. Thirdly, many people were smoking mariguana freely through the hotel. The pool was filthy, we were never able to enjoy it. And, lastly, the beach was not what you see in the advertisement! It was unsafe to the point we didn’t see anyone in it the five days we were there. We have been to many beautiful beaches and this one was terrible; super wavy, rocky bottom, and dark!! And, the food was just average, nothing to even discuss! The restaurants were unbearably hot, every evening they would tell us they were working on the AC, but we always dined sweating! In the buffet the food was always cold! When we asked they told us the heating trays were not working! The only positive experience was the employees, they were always super accommodating, friendly, and apologetic about our issues. Overall, this all inclusive is terrible and we wanted to leave the day we got there.

The back of the resort staff "pool/bar entertainment" was amazing. Food was just ok management and housekeeping were not good at all. They wanted to clean the room at 7am or 6 pm. So the room didn't get cleaned for 4 days but even day the said they would get to it as soon as we went to the pool. It never happened. I would never go again and would not recommend it to anyone.

The property was not what we expected when looking to get away for a relaxing adult only vacation. The music was loud and horrible except for one or two nights of more of a Dominican flavor. Around the reception area it was so loud we could not talk to front desk without screaming. The pool with bar inside was disgusting. I would never go swimming in there. Beach was empty because it looked dangerous not like other beautiful Caribbean beaches. Very dissatisfied would not recommend. The type of crowd there is the same crowd that gathered in Miami Beach in memorial weekends. Loud marijuana smoking people. The restaurant was hot most nights. The service and food was very good.

Fitzgerald was a great host. Service was very good. Property was okay.

I really enjoyed my stay which felt like two trips. The first week, my daughter and I had an adventure filled week and then when she left I had my own solo trip. I was there for about 15 days; I was so impressed by the staff. I chose the Diamond Club for the duration of my trip and my butler Ronaldo was the best. Every morning, he checked in to make sure that I had reservations for dinner and that I knew about all the activities that were happening. He even helped with making arrangemnets for my daughters birthday and excursions. Next there was Paulino, who was super friendly; he made sure that we had a great time at the pool and helped me to secure beds by the pool and cabanas. He made sure that every thing was clean and that we had premium liquor. I do also have to mention the staff in the Diamond Club Breakfast area:Danilkis, is my girl, every morning she would make sure I had my mango even if that meant she went to the buffet area to get them for me. I received the same hospitality at the buffet and the Diamond Club Beach restuarant. There were so many activities Alberto, Justin Bieber :) and Angel made sure that we had fun by the pool. They were really good at making all the guest comfortable to particpate. I even played pool volleyball which is something I would not normally do. I love Royalton Fit team too- Lisette and Juan Carlos had me doing pool yoga and cycling. It was a great vacation experience- staff could teach a master class on hospitality- they felt like fam

I stayed at this property with a group of friends. We all experienced the same issues when it came to the AC in our rooms and around the facility. We contacted maintenance however, continued to experience a lack of cool air especially during night hours. Most of the restaurants also lack cool air which made it uncomfortable to sit for the dinner hours. I will say that staff at the restaurants are very attentive and accommodating, shout out to Julian at the Italian restaurant. The resort seems to shut down early which was strange since this is considered a “party” resort. They do have a club which is open late but again, the poor AC made it a sauna. Something worth noting, the waves at the beach are very strong and make the beach extremely dangerous and practically unusable. While i understand this is no fault of the resort, it is worth noting for beach lovers. On a positive note, all the food throughout the resort was fantastic.

All the amenities closed down too early. Room service took over two hours to come. Restaurants had very limited seating and availability.

Diamond Club is not worth it! We decided to get Diamond Club and it came with Butler service. The Butler service was poor and we had a hard time getting a hold of him. We were supposed to get a bottle of alcohol when we first arrived (per our butler) we received this after repeated text….3 days later. There were really no perks to Diamond Club. The food was average to below average. We had 15 meals there and we did not receive one meal that was correct. For instance for a garden burger and it was a steak between two buns. Ordered a bagel and got a salad. The drinks all had this same sweet flavor in every one. The staff really didn’t seem like they cared much accept for the bartenders. There was hair and garbage all over the entire hotel. Pools were very dirty. We had cats fighting on our deck by our swim up pool two nights in a row at 2am. There was someone trying to sell, or up sell is something just about every couple hours on the property. The bed was so loud it would wake myself or my fiancé up if we moved. The restaurants were so hot it was miserable eating in there. The beach was not nice at all. The entertainment was great and probably the best part. Sum it up we would never stay here again.

The staff is the heart of this hotel! Dante, Angel King, and May just to name a few. This hotel is dirty and falling apart. I will never come back here. The Royalton needs to shut this down and do reconstruction. The buffet food is old, unsafe to eat due to lack of AC. The best restaurant is the Indian restaurant. Our room was super dirty. The ceiling was leaking, and our room was changed. It was a step up from horrible but still horrible. The service by the pool was horrible. It took too long to get a drink. Nexus Tours was horrible. My ride from the hotel airport never came and I had to catch an uber.

I didn’t like my stay here at all. The rooms were dirty. They didn’t change the bedding. There were stains on our wash clothes, towels and curtains. Nothing like the pictures. The food was terrible. We ordered room service and had to wait over two hours. Only for our plates to also be dirty. Please stay somewhere else.

Not what we all expected very sad

I wanted to love this place so bad after being to the Royalton Negril (which was fabulous). I was extremely disappointed from the beginning!!!! The welcome was nice…walked to the building where our room was and no elevator…we were on the top floor. I’m pretty fit but I was not feeling that especially after drinking. The fan didn’t work in the room, the TV didn’t work for 2 days before we finally got help. There was blood splatter on the curtain but I didn’t notice until later. Room was barely clean. Food was terrible especially the first couple days. It didn’t get “okay” until Friday and Saturday in which they seem to care a little bit more. The pools were extremely DIRTY from the day we arrived. When swimming in the morning we had so much hair getting caught on our feet we just started to pull it off and put it to the side. Thank God for the beach! The fit instructors were great and we had a lot of fun playing the poolside games as well. The public bathroom had no soap the whole 5 days we were there. Drinks were okay but extremely inconsistent. Buffet was blah. Entertainment was okay. I don’t like how they play the same songs over and over. The staff was kinda rude and seem disinterested everything was in slow motion with them. I mean slooooow motion two drinks 15-20 mins. Colin was awesome for our building. Overall, we made the most of our time but I will not return.

This property was very peaceful. I was able to relax and enjoy the beach and pool. I had selected the diamond club package. It was well worth the money. I will book again at this resort.

Beach

I went for a Birthday Celebration. Upon arriving the staff was AMAZING! I entered the room and my TV wasn’t working, a desert left from Expedia and had a mosquito sitting in it (never ate it) and the linen wasn’t that clean. Most of the staff at this resort was phenomenal and extremely accommodating. My 1st night I got bit in the bed on both ankles by something that created itchy large red sores (thought it was a mosquito until I saw puss) it did not heal until I reached the US. I called to ask for a few clean towels. I called 3 times before they were sent to my room and I was asked if I needed anything, I asked for ice but, never received it. The lobby staff/security were a bit too much at times, not allowing our transportation to enter the resort for pick up for some excursions. The club at the resort has limited to no AC and was difficult for us to have a good time. The resort ran out of pool towels some days. Last but not least, food is my favorite part about traveling and theirs was mediocre. For breakfast I ate an omelette and fruit with a cup of tea each day. Lunch had the pasta station and restaurants for dinner also just okay. We missed the sushi restaurant but some folks we met said it was the best place on the resort. Overall I will not be back for the money I paid to stay here. The place is extremely dated with no elevators (no worries I got plenty of exercise) and needs renovations. My friends that stayed in the Diamond Club unit said the rooms were much better.

The food wasn’t as good as expected. The locks on our room didn’t work. Therefore, housekeeping and concierge kept opening the door on us. The entertainment and drinks were awesome though.
