We reserved two rooms at the cultural crashpad on booking.com. The pictures presented, the description and the reviews on the platform for this hostel seemed satisfactory. Unfortunately, when we arrived the hostel was not at all as described. The rooms were tiny, damp and one did not have any windows. The staff were completely unresponsive stating that they in no way could help us and anything other than check in would need to be handled by the hostel manager. The hostel manager was not present and claimed at one point to not be in Hong Kong, this story changed later when they claimed he would be at the hostel "soon". We simply could not stay in the hostel due to the poor conditions and the extensive dilapidation in the building itself which is in extremely poor condition. When we contacted booking.com to try to revoke the reservation they simply told us that the manager had denied our claims of false advertising and claimed there was nothing wrong with the rooms. Our request to further investigate this by booking.com was flatly denied. It has become clear to us now that the owners of the cultural crashpad also practice review bombing in order to elevate their review score on various platforms. In summary, please avoid this place. They are incredibly dodgy and at worst can be described as scammers.

Don' t go there. It' s a prison, the room 2x2 m. You cannot move inside. The bed is like a stone, it' s better to sleep on the floor. The bathroom is small same. Cannot do a good shower

No me gustó nada. Un lugar incómodo, clastrofóbico, el dueño del hostal ni contesta a los mensajes cuando hay algún problema. La chica se desentiende.. y caro (las fechas de año nuevo chino claro..) pero el peor sitio dónde he estado hacía años.

Backpacker place for solo travellers. Fun loving people who are very accommodating.

Lockers were available but only in reception area.
