Duplicate from my previous review as I booked 2 rooms for family :)

We loved this place! Its is about 1km walk from the centre city area, with some restaurants around it. However, the best part was the beds were lovely and comfortable, and the bathroom! - the bathroom turns into a drying room and being able to wash and dry overnight was fabulous for our family of 4. Convenience store a minute walk away. Staff at the accommodation were all very friendly. We had 2 bedroom - which was really an interconnecting 2 apartment, which was great as it meant we also had 2 bathrooms. Great value for money.

Little tricky to find to start with, but that is the only negative thing.

Fantastic location for public transport and food, both eating out and groceries. Very quiet, comfortable and the staff were friendly. Everything we needed for a week and worked very well having adjoining rooms for our family of four. Racks and hangers to dry clothes was appreciated.

True of many places, there were a few things missing from the kitchen to make it truly awesome. Things like large plates and bowls (from memory). You can work with it or you can buy some disposable ones - we did both, but it'd be nicer not to!

There was nothing to compare about.

The View out of the Window. But if want a view.. leave your Hotel! Kyoto is so pretty :D

Location in Gion was very nice. Size of the room was big which was nice for a longer stay. Washer worked well and glad the accommodation provided a drying rack. Accommodation was largely clean and functional.

Couches were stained and the kitchen was very minimally fitted. Tiny plates, no bowls and only 1 knife (very large) made using the kitchen very difficult!

Very good location in the old part of Tokyo and close to the train station and bus stops. Good sized room with washing machine (detergent provided) and equipped kitchen. Bags delivered to the hotel from the guest service centre in time to check in. Some nice restaurants in the nearby arcade.

I don’t think breakfast is served at this property. The room was very neat and clean with all amenities provided and was very comfortable and well laid out.

The Front Desk staff could be more knowledgeable.

Really comfortable and nice stay in a perfect location. The staff was very helpful and we could even leave our luggage for some hours after our check out. Highly recommendable to enjoy Kyoto!

The doonas were a bit heavy for summer.

Nice quiet location and it is close to the temples. A little far from restaurants.

Great value family hotel - very comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the extra space of the two-bedroom suite, which is interconnecting rooms with two bathrooms, two kitchenettes and two washing machines. Bathroom 'dryer' function really was fabulous - easily dried our clothes overnight. Peaceful, cute laneway - very atmospheric with pretty, tree-lined waterway at one end and a few shops at the other. Not a lot of close eating choices at night, but an excellent Fresco Petite around the corner. Short walk to Yasaka Shrine and Hanamikoji Street (lots of eating places) and a longer walk to main streets of Gion. Would definitely stay again.

Don't know why guests have to go to a central office near Kyoto Station to check in first. I understand it's a boutique hotel but the hotel was staffed during check-in hours, so it seemed unnecessary and wasted time to have to go to a different location to get keycard and sign guest registration. Also, be aware that luggage delivery service from central office stops at 4pm.

Washing machine was nice to have.

Although it was fine for them to not clean the rooms everyday, it would be nice to have towels replaced everyday.

The location is perfect, just a few minutes away from the most beautiful places in Kyoto. There are many restaurants and shops. The hotel is simply beautiful, it has big and cozy rooms that feel like an apartment and have everything you need. The best experience!

Stay Sakura Kyoto Higashiyama is set in a perfect and quiet location. You can walk to all The attractions stress free and have a wonderful experience exploring Kyoto. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel and enjoy all that Kyoto has to offer.

Good location. Only 5 mins walk from local subway. Friendly English speaking Staff happy to help. Spacious room for family of 4. Good price. No complaints.
