The property manager was delinquent in responding to our communications. When we finally reached him for the first time via FaceTime, he was lying in bed, shirtless. Unprofessional. He agreed to provide transportation for us from the airport to the property for an additional fee of US$65, but he failed to set it up, leaving us high and dry. We had to arrange our own transportation. He compensated for this by giving us complimentary transportation back to the airport. When we finally arrived at the house, he greeted us but offered no assistance and simply watched as I made two trips to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs. He also promised, but failed, to have lunch waiting for us upon our arrival. Without explanation, there was no lunch. The chef for whom we had paid made us unsatisfying lettuce wraps. The agent also presented me, and demanded that I accept, additional terms of our stay, including additional fees and service charges and an exchange rate between US and Dominican currencies that was grossly off market. He also asked me to sign a blanket credit-card authorization for $1,500, to be charged at his discretion, allegedly in case of damage to the property. I refused to sign it as I had never been asked to sign such an authorization on my prior trips to other properties in the Dominican Republic.

The house look like it did when listed. It was 3 minor problems upon arrival. The heat wasn’t working, the pool wasn’t clean, and the shower head in the master bedroom wasn’t working properly. The next day they fixed the air and cleaned the pool. They never fixed the shower head so using the water was a little difficult. But Chef Danny and the housekeeper did a great job.

Easy

Nice place, spacious, excellent pool/patio area. Air conditioning in 2 of the rooms was broken. Living room air conditioning is just a fan pushing air. Living room fan broken, as well as all the sliding doors that can't be secured. Kitchen definitely needs a upgrade with cabinets, and limited cooking utensils/pots/pans. I rented this place 2 times prior

The Villa is located in a gated golf Court Community,very safe,and close to supermarket, stores and restaurants. Absolutely impecable, with a very nice lady that lives in the property and keeps the whole place very clean. Both the youngman and the lady,were very attentive and helpful, and very nice. The beach was about 15 minutes away,but we went to the Jellyfish beach club,which has a great beach with a safety net. And the Pearl beach club, Was a little further about 25 mins and had a DJ and was very nice and huge,the beach was not well kept. But the service and the food were ok. All around a good family time!
