Room quality was shocking, dirty and unkempt, Did not shower, as assessed it would be cleaner not to! Black mould in bathroom, ceiling caving in above main bed, carpets threadbare. Clearly no regular cleaning, not even to the point of wiping round the bath I must add for the price of the room we did not have high expectations and saw it an affordable way to stay over with the children whilst on route to our destination. However it would be fair to expect that the room was clean. We were perhaps a bit naive to think that there may be some noise being town centre and above a pub, but there was a lot more volume for a prolonged period than expected

The staff were brilliant and really helpful. The hotel in the centre of Buckingham so very convenient. Also access via a key out of hours very convenient. The room also very quiet considering inn busy.

The stairs were very steep to the room and it does need updating but shower excellent and endless tea and coffee top ups.

The car park. Quite stressful waiting for a space.

The staff make you feel at home and loved : ) Loved the vegetarian breakfast, abundant, with many bits and delicious. The bed was very comfortable. Although it was disorienting the first couple of times, I got to enjoy the guessing work of stairs, corridors & doors til I reached my room and going out : ) great training for the brain.

The noises outside from, I guess, ventilators or something like that (or from the building itself).

The breakfast was plentiful but I asked for a vegan breakfast and got an egg. The beans were not warm enough. I had a really tasty risotto for an evening meal. The staff where exceptionally friendly and welcoming and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.

I lost a battle with the shower in room 1. The whole place felt very tired which did not come over on the website photos. However I understand that a refurb is immanent. You have competition from many premier inns. At the moment they win for me but when the refurb is done I will return.

booked 6 rooms all rooms are in very bad state of repair, huge damp patches on ceiling, curtains hanging by a thread, bathrooms need ripping out. All rooms need a refit. don't expect a good nights sleep.

The room was large which was great but it needed a total renew, carpets shower curtains poles, the bed was nice and bug but the room needed to feel more homely and inviting, the staff were fine and I liked the pub
