checkin administration is terrible . three people standing around. one picks up the credit card and jots something down then turns it over for the cvc code , very suspicious activity . I received a message from my bank that the deposit had been taken. the staff insisted to do it again. I said no. I offered to leave the hotel. the manager then came and said it I was ok . following that front staff continued to harass us for the transaction again. you check in at 3pm . but the pool closes at 4pm. why????

Best breakfast ever! Freshly cooked Japanese and Continental breakfasts. Multiple choices of Indonesian dishes like Bubur Ayam, Ayam Bakso, Nasi Goreng etc. For the coffee lovers: espresso based coffee is made with a real espresso machine by a barista and not the usual automatic machines. This is what I would expect from every 5 Star Hotel in my opinion. Rooms are really spacious and the bathroom is as large as the entire hotel room elsewhere. The outdoor pool is big and with cool refreshing water. The garden makes you feel like you are in Bali and not in the middle of Jakarta. Location is also very strategic between South and CBD. Cool, new restaurants on Senopati are just 5 mins away. All major malls are 15-20 mins taxi ride away. There is a small mall (Dharmawangsa Square) with supermarket, good choice of restaurants and modern cafes in walking distance. The hotel feels more boutique, family run and not like a big intl hotel chain with mass production. After 1 day all staff knew our name. In a city like Jakarta, with all the noise, traffic and madness, The Dharmawangsa is your oasis where you can recharge and relax. We were always very happy when we got back to the hotel.

i’ve stayed here few times and checkin was always a hassle, i asked for a room facing the pool before hand, they approved but then when I checked in they said it’s a different category. i stayed in a room facing the pool before! and they approved it. the electricity also dropped a few times, along with the internet. the balcony is empty and sad. during my previous stay, they gave me room with a cover in the balcony because of construction next door. then they moved me to another room but the door is broken so we had to wait for 30 mins for them to move us into another room. the only thing good about this property is the pool. they really need to improve themselves because everything is falling apart.

More kids activities

The room is exceptional. Very very big, comfortable, clean, with unbeatable view of the Dharmawangsa's pool. The ambience is so good. The staff is always very nice and helpful. Don't forget to try cakes in their cake shop, I rated the cakes highly, 100% tasted amazing.

I had unpleasant experience with one of the Reception staffs who refused us to have our dinner in the room. Thankfully the manager was aware of this mistake. He approved our request and went to our room in person to apologize. Appreciate the effort.

the room rate includes breakfast and dinner. What they didn’t mention was that breakfast and dinner were only for 2 pax/ room. We were traveling with 2 kids (6&8 yo), and we did mention that on the reservation form. Still we had to pay a pricey dinner and breakfast for the kids. Dinner also didn’t included any drinks, not even mineral water and had to pay almost 10€ for a large bottle of mineral water every time we had dinner. You can imagine how much the food costs there.

Beautiful grounds, an oasis in a nice suburb only ~30 minutes (~8Km) from Jakarta city center. Excellent and personalized service, relaxed overall vibe, wonderful ambience lighting, sophisticated interior design. The room provided (#106) was comfortable, quiet, spacious, with nice pool/garden views, and very well appointed. Dinner food was decent and breakfast was adequate. Kudos to the management for the hospitality culture they’ve created.

A few renovations here & there could refresh and modernize the hotel

Lovely oasis of peace in the middle of bustling Jakarta. The staff was super friendly, the breakfast amazing and the location good. The swimming pool is great for cooling down and the playground perfect for out little daughter!
