The most lovely, kind staff. A safe stay. A comfortable overall experience. Beautiful building and outdoor area, as well as fair prices for beverages on the menu. Room service was great, and I was given things on request with no hesitation even if they were not provided in my room. And again, WONDERFUL staff from cleaning staff to maintainence, reception to just general staff.

Certain maintainence issues such as a leaky aircon and a clogged sink, but these were taken into consideration as soon as they were brought up. Some of the toiletries also had issues like a faulty nozzle, etc. The view from my room was not pleasant at all, as I was only able to have a look at the back section of the building where everything was a bit messy and seemed to be for storage purposes.

The breakfast and dinner time were very accommodative. The breakfast variations were ayoba and the taste. I liked the waiting area and how staff welcomed us and assisted us through the processes. I liked the shower utilities, availability of hands and body wash, conditioner, body wash in a big bottle. There was no need for us to ask for them in the morning after taking a shower at night.

Single bed, are very singular. They are very small. The shower door was very difficult to close.

Exceptional service by the staff. A special thanks to Millian who was of great assistance on Sat. As a black woman, you get nervous when you have to request another black woman for service. Most of the time, you are not recieved well. However, with Millian, it was a pleasanr experience. This proves that the staff is well trained and most importantly, is taken care of and is valued by the employer. So this is my view when it comes to staff behaviours in hospitality or retail service.

The location raises eyebrows but i appreciate the antiqueness of the building.

Why do yo have to book in so late.....

Breakfast was great and the location was perfect. The staff was very friendly and assisted a lot especially the front desk team and the transport team their service was super it made my stay enjoyable and stress free.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities.Location is excellent as close to shops and dining. Close enough to Rosebank Mall. if you want to head down there. The property was immaculately kept and staff were always smiling and very happy to accommodate.

Sausages were nice, bacon was cooked to my liking

Staff were so friendly and helpful all the time. I really appreciated everything they did. They even came up to our room with a little screwdriver so that we could put batteries into one of our kids toys felt very welcoming being there.

The Bar was very poor. Hardly any choice I know it was winter season but you should still cater for the guests you have. Drinks from restaurant were better.

The room was spacious. I was also given a better room than the standard room I initially booked, so they say.

The room was next to the pool. It was extremely freezing so I requested for extra blanket and heater and only got them the following day. I know I was going to enjoy the room if it was summer, but still provisions should be highly considered for people who are booked next to the pool during winter 😱

The property was nice, ample space for parking, breakfast was good. The staff at restaurant was very nice and helpful.

You have to walk too much with your luggage, especially when you are with kids and family.

Once you enter the property, you already feel a sense of safety around you and forget that you are in Johannesburg and just a minute away from Berea and Hillbrow. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and always feel at home at this property. The host always goes out of his way to make me feel like a valued guest.

When booking online, the booking does not always pull through to the Hotel in real time. I always experience difficulty with reception locating my online bookings, sometimes to the extent were the booking has to be made over the counter, loosening out on the special deal prices offered online.

The receptionist Millian was very helpful. She provided me with all the information and went our of her way to make me feel welcome and at home. Nkosi - waiter was very welcoming and was available for any enquiries pertaining to the restraunt. I felt at home.

The food. The options were very few on the ale cate menu and no offense but most dishes were made to appease local taste. Maybe add international cuisine or neutral recipe for outsiders .
