We absolutely loved the Pine Hollow Inn home - there was the perfect amount of space for the 6 of us, the kitchen was very well stocked, the setting was beautiful and we enjoyed exploring the property, as well! Would highly recommend this VRBO - clean, cozy and well-thought out! Great hosts, too!!

My two siblings and their spouses joined my husband and me for a mini reunion at Pine Hollow. The property was even better than pictured. We hiked around the property, saw deer, enjoyed the fire pit, all cooked in the well stocked kitchen, and visited nearby Galena. Having three large bedrooms with connected bathrooms gave us privacy, too. Thanks Larry and Sally for making us feel so welcomed.

The location of the house is perfect. The house was very clean and bedrooms had very comfortable beds. We would definitely stay again.

Pine Hollow is a hidden Gem. Very close to downtown Galena and other must see places. We stayed here for a girls weekend and we all enjoyed everything the house had to offer. The owners are great!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting! Tucked into a clearing in the woods with beautiful scenery and a large front porch for visiting. We will stay here again!

We loved our time staying here. We had a nice fire one night and enjoyed the porch and peaceful environment morning and night. The house was wonderful. Galina is so close. Best of both worlds close to town but in country with nature. Would go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend for others to stay too!!

Everything about the house was absolutely perfect and even better than we imagined based on the photos online. Super spacious, clean, charming, quiet, private, comfy, etc. Super cute house and loved being surrounded by the woods. The fire pit with chairs was an added bonus. Loved the front porch for our morning coffee. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to cook. Perfect for our girls' weekend away. Couldn't have asked for anything more.

This property is amazing. Nice peaceful getaway. Only 10 minutes from main street Galena. We are definitely stay here again. Owners are the nicest people. The house and surroundings are beautiful.

We enjoyed secluded forest surrounding the house but yet so close to Main street in Galena. House is very spacious and clean. Each room has bathroom, fireplace and TV - perfect for 3 couples to stay. Hosts are friendly and responsive. We are already planning to come again in winter. Thank you Larry and Sally!

Our family had a very comfortable stay. Three private bedrooms with full bathrooms for each. Plenty of common space for enjoying each other's company. Charming decorations and artistry throughout. A porch that makes it easy to relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. The grounds are well maintained and beautiful. All this and very close to the fun, food, and shops of Galena. We'll definitely plan a longer visit to the same house next time!

This was a perfect setting for our high school best friends reunion. 50+ years best friends and we chose Galena as a equidistant meeting point from Missouri and Minnesota. Your home was perfect for us, spent hours on the porch and loved the entire home! Loved Galena as well!!

The house was so quaint and clean! The surroundings were peaceful and immaculate, close to town but far enough to make you feel like you were in your own world. Truly a gem!

I couldn’t say enough about how great the property is. Porch overlooks beautiful wooded lawn. Feels very secluded but is only a bit over a mile from town, I ran to town every morning for coffee. The rooms are large and all have their own bathrooms and there are two separate living spaces. Two bedrooms also have little TV areas. Lots of privacy. The host seems very nice.

This property was perfect for our annual girls trip! We enjoyed the quiet away from town to just hang out, but it was nice to be so close to town for shopping and eating. Highly recommend. We hope to go back.

My family and I had a great long weekend at the Pine Hollow Cottage. The rooms were generously sized and all came with an ensuite, making it very convenient for everyone. We had an easy check-in and check-out process, and everything in the house was easy to find. We appreciated the expansive outdoor space and all the common rooms available for us to hang out in. It is conveniently located close to Galena’s downtown, but a drive away enough that it didn’t get noisy. Also – thank you to the hosts for finding and shipping back our son’s newborn basin which we left it in one of the bathrooms. Really happy with our stay at the Pine Hollow Cottage. 😁

Pine Hollow is a lovely, restful retreat. Wish we could have stayed longer. Very clean, all the amenities you could want, comfy, cozy and relaxing.

We had a splendid time at Pine Hollow. This gem is nestled in a little valley next to a creek. It was the perfect combination of feeling connected to nature, and also being close to town. Larry and Sally are so kind and right down the road if you need them. Check-in was smooth and we immediately noticed that the house was SPOTLESS. We thoroughly enjoyed the many fireplaces and spaces for games, chatting, and reading. We had such a lovely time, and we are thinking of making it a yearly tradition. Thank you, Larry and Sally for a wonderful weekend!

This property was clean, spacious, and filled with beautiful scenery. It was a close jot from town, but still very removed from the bustle of town. The owner was very sweet and quick to assist us with our departure (snowy conditions). We very much enjoyed our stay.

This has to be one of the most perfect rentals in Galena! The location is wonderful- a short 5 minute drive from downtown, but secluded in nature. The house itself is extremely spacious, and every bedroom has a fireplace and its own bathroom. The upstairs bedrooms are huge with their own sitting areas, which makes for an additional place to relax. The kitchen is well equipped if you'd like to cook a full dinner and there is enough room to hang out, as well. Larry was great! He checked in on us and said hello- gave us a friendly history of the land and area. This is our new favorite spot, and we plan to come back again this year! I can't recommend this renal enough!

We had a great stay! Wonderful hosts; the property was clean and ready for us. The location was convenient - 5-minute drive into town. Quiet with lots of room to spend time as a family.

Two days before Thanksgiving a science teacher, college professor, children's librarian and bilingual reading specialist left the city for a rest in the country. When we all arrived at Pine Hollow the long valley drive to the house there was an immediate sense of relaxation. The home was just as advertised and more! Serene, charming, welcoming, clean and comfortable describes it all. The colors of fall wrapped up the little cottage in a warm quilt of the anticipation of the holidays. A wide porch with a chalkboard personal greeting welcomed us. The lockbox was clean and well secured, easy to access the lock with 2 keys inside. The wide pine dining table, earth tones and wide plank floor was a cover out of Country Living magazine. Warm lighting and plenty of it, a well appointed kitchen and three very separate comfortable bedrooms, one queen size downstairs two kings upstairs with modern functioning bathrooms check the boxes of privacy. Pottery for sale abounds, careful picking them up, and the fireplaces are well stocked and clean. Be sure to use the filter on the sink as water is well water. There is not a Keurig but a regular 10-12 pot coffee pot. Bring your own coffee and treats as the grocery is a bit away down Route 20. Read the laminated literature about the home so you get things right. We will certainly stay again. Lovely hosts with two Goldens who are sweet as can be. Accurately portrayed home on pretty acreage. Logs were provided for the fireplaces and fire pit - an awesome touch. Very nice to have 4 full bathrooms as well. Highly recommend and thanks to the owners.

What an amazing house and property! My friends and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend in the beautiful house with a great view. Each room has its own bathroom and privacy which was a great addition. We stayed at Pine Hollow when it was a B&B many years ago. The place is almost exactly as it was before. Beautifully decorated, a fireplace in every bedroom. Peaceful, secluded property not to far from downtown Galena. Check in process and communication process were all easy peasy. Owners are a pleasure to work with. Everything we needed was there and extra details were very much appreciated. I.e. instructions on how to use everything, the extra fire logs and skewers for roasting marshmallows, etc. Thank you Sally & Larry!
