We had a little backyard family get-together/small wedding and the cabin was perfect! Large enough to hold our family plus some more family who rented out the small cabin on the property and a camper! We had enough room to put a tent up for our reception and plenty of room for parking! We will definitely being coming back, we couldn't of asked for a better place or better owners, Jane and her husband are lovely people and so easy to get along with and who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could of possibly needed. Honestly, I still can't get over how perfect this weekend was!

My group of friends began camping together 30 years ago and this was our first rental property Labor Day weekend. The house is beautiful and very well laid out, with kitchen and gather spaces down stairs. The two teens loved the game room. Fire pit area was well stocked with wood and is large enough for group gathering. Short trails on the property lead from the house and cabin to the fire pit and are well maintained. It was a HOT weekend and we didn't have time to enjoy the beautiful deck but hope to on another stay.

We rented both the house and little cottage for a family vacation. It was perfect with the number of bedrooms and bathrooms! The firepit is perfect for evening around a fire. The house is well stocked, with the two refrigerators, dishes, cooking pans and tools. My grandchildren loved the bedrooms and the games. The house is close to many fun things in Iowa. I cant imaging the view in the fall with all the trees in color. Highly recommend this property and property owners.

This property is amazing !! The house is as described and has everything you need for a relaxing get away- even the fireflies showed up for us 😊 We would highly recommend staying here and will hopefully be back!

Great place for 8 of us to enjoy our ice fishing trip. Great place for relaxing and enjoying good times. Absolutely beautiful estate for relaxing and enjoying life.

Large group of guys for an ice fishing weekend on the Mississippi River. Great space and layout with kitchen and entertaining area on ground floor. Well appointed; worked great for our group. Plenty of parking Communications with owner clear and concise. Will rent again when we come back to Lansing for fishing.

The property was accurately described for what we needed to enjoy our time together for NYE. Easy access to Lansing and beautiful drive along the Mississippi River. Can't imagine what it would look like it in the summer/fall. Clean place, great communication with the owner. Enough space to spread out and also enough spaces to isolate if needed.

This quiet and secluded spot was ideal for our family's long Thanksgiving weekend. There was lots of room to hang out inside and lots of room to play and explore outside. The small town of Lansing has a cute coffee shop, and we had one dinner at a cool place overlooking the Mississippi. The house was very very clean and had everything we could want or need. Five stars for sure. I wouldn't change a thing.

Overall clean and well appointed. Has one bed (pullout couch), living room, kitchen/dining area, bathroom (with a shower with a seat), and laundry all on the ground level, allowing some people with limited mobility to stay with us. Getting cars out with people arriving in many vehicles was a little bit of a hassle, but the space well kept and the kitchen was very well stocked in terms of cookware and appliances. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Our extended family met for a weekend here and the property was great for us! Good location, beautiful setting. We enjoyed the fire pit and the kitchen had everything we needed to do most of our cooking right there. Would definitely recommend!

Jane was a wonderful host with a beautiful setting within short distance to many activities in the Lansing area. Jane responded to questions quickly and was incredibly hospitable. Would love to rent again.

This was our best VRBO location to date. We had our family Reunion weekend here and it was perfect! There were 9 of us and 3 dogs and we all had our own space. The owners were very responsive to all my questions and extremely helpful! They even provided fire wood for our campfire! The house was spotless and had all the amenities we hoped for. We cooked all our meals there and had everything we needed. I highly recommend and we would definitely come back!

This property is beautiful! It was exactly as pictured and allowed all KINDS of space to enjoy family time both indoors and outdoors. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and my kids loved that they even had both video games and a fire pit with sticks for roasting marshmallows. It accommodates all ages and allows you to enjoy nature while being a short distance away from town. We’ll definitely be back!

We had 2 families stay here (4 adults and 9 kids) and it worked great for us. The kids loved playing football out in the front yard and the house was big enough for all of us. The upstairs rooms were the favorites of all the kids! We appreciated having a large kitchen with 2 fridges since we made all our meals there. Thanks for a great place to stay!

Our family reunion group of 28 used this property for home base (we rented another vacay home as well). This gorgeous home was a fantastic setting to all gather, from the well appointed and gorgeous kitchen to the fire pit up on the hill. And two refrigerators - GENIOUS! Top notch accommodations and just overall a blessing to us all. Thank you!

we had a great time at the rental, all's you need is to bring your food and clothes and you will be set. plenty of fridge space and panty area room to run to if you have kids. We brought a sprinkler and hose for the kids and they loved that. enough room for all in the house!! we will be back!

My family of 14 (Adults thru infant) plus our dogs, ALL enjoyed the home in Lansing. It was big enough for a huge family and the location was perfect and so beautiful. The on property trails and the fire pit were great and the wild flower garden was inspirational. I can't stress enough how kind and gracious our hosts were and how easy it was to communicate with them. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Beautiful property! Lots of space inside & out. Great location to kick back and have fun together. All bedding and towels were provided and the kitchen was well stocked with an added plus of having two refrigerators, which was great! We loved all the bedroom spaces and multiple bathrooms was awesome for our family of 12. Game room was a great option for our youngest kiddos to enjoy a movie or play on the Wii. Plus, there were lots of movies & games provided. Jane, the owner, was awesome to work with and I always heard back from in a very timely manner. It was a short drive to Lansing to enjoy the local park including pickle ball courts, and a splash pad! We loved The Skinny Dip ice cream shop, Horsfalls Variey Stores, and the Driftless Area Visitor Center. A short drive north of Lansing we visited a fish hatchery and Lock & Dam #8. Great home and area for family!

This was our second stay at this property. It was perfect for our group of 12, plenty of room for everyone. Pictures are accurate, property was clean. Fire pit area is wonderful! The addition of the second refrigerator is great.
