Pictures are deceiving. Not close to pool or lake. Pool table not full size. But cabin clean and well stocked. Private. Stay was awesome. Oh except for one ply toilet paper? Ugh

Clean, but fireplace would not ignite after first night, and heat would not run continually,
Had to keep Turing it on, other than those things, this place was as advertised. I recommend highly.

Had a great day for our honeymoon. We were far enough from town we could hear the wildlife but close enough we could venture out whenever we wanted. The home was so cozy and exactly what we needed!

Spent the weekend at the cabin with my spouse and closest friends for my birthday. We had an absolute blast! The host left me a birthday card which was so nice! The cabin was clean, there were complimentary toiletries which was unexpected. They had a smart tv which was very convenient & board games to enjoy.
The only downfall is that we wished the hot tub was bigger, & had slightly more privacy. But overall it was amazing!

Great view, beautiful cabin!
We loved this place! Property is pretty secluded but neighbors aren't too far! Beautiful views! Beautiful cabin! Check in was super easy and we had a great time!! Only small issue we had is the fireplace ran out of gas, but there is central heat! Only a few minutes from dollar general and other convenient stores and grocery stores! Overall we had a great time!!

Comfortable getaway
An effortless check-in, along with a clean cabin and warmed-up hot tub made our arrival that much more enjoyable. The accommodations were extremely comfortable, but the wrap around porch made us want to stay outside!

Weekend Getaway
Beautiful cabin!! My girls loved the board games and pool table. It was easy to access and just simply breath taking. Would definitely recommend!

My stay
Everything was very nice the only issue we had was while trying to cook the front left burner did not work and I do not believe that the under liners that you have for the burners are the right ones because none of the burners sit level other than that it was wonderful

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was clean and very well maintained. The owner was quick to respond to any questions and was an excellent host.

Had a great stay
There were 4 of us who stayed at the cabin. This was our second stay at the cabin it had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We love this area of TN and are thinking of retiring here. Thank you for a great stay, again.

Great experience!
The cabin was great! It was easy to communicate with the owner of the cabin if needed. The cabin was clean and well organized and felt very much at home. It is a very quiet neighborhood and all the neighbors were very nice, I recommend this cabin 100%.

Nice cabin
Fit our needs. Cannot see the lake from the cabin, but that was ok. A little far to drive, but we were looking for a bit of seclusion. Cooked breakfast several mornings. Kitchen had everything we needed. Overall a nice cabin and quiet setting.

We loved our stay near Gatlinburg
We had three couples, aged 59-65, and all loved our cabin. There was enough room for the six of us, the place was clean, the kitchen was well equipped. We spent a lot of time sitting on the back deck and enjoying the beautiful sunset and night sky. We used both the gas grill and hot tub and they were in fine working order. We highly recommend this place.

Girls week away
We enjoyed our stay at this 3 br cabin . The owner was very responsive to our questions and concern with the living room TV. He came by to look at the problem and figured out it was the remote itself . He brought back a new Direct TV remote in 2 days even when we told him he did not have to do that. The TVs worked fine in the bedrooms on lower level . We had enough dishes and cookware to use when preparing our breakfasts and dinners. Most tourist attractions were about 30 mins away but we liked that. Very peaceful

Wonderful cabin! We truly enjoyed our time in the Fox’s cabin. Great flow & very peaceful. As a family we enjoyed relaxing on the back deck watching the sunset & soaking in the hot tub.

Cabin was large and comfortable ….except the fan in the closet was defective and unsafe the front blade guard fell off while moving it and cut my wife’s finger …

The pictures online don't do this cabin justice. Upon arrival it was super clean & organized. The sunsets off the back porch in the hot tub were amazing! The log cabin feel inside was beautiful. The area is very peaceful and quiet, which is a pleasant change living in the suburbs of Philadelphia where it's always noisy! The drive to all the attractions this area has to offer is about 30-40 min away with great views of the rustic countryside on the way. We look forward to revisiting the Smokey Mountains next summer which we have done the past few years! Thanks to the Fox family for sharing their beautiful cabin with my family & the wonderful memories we made there! Diana Parris

Quiet and cozy retreat
Stayed here for a family trip. Great property with all you need for a quick get away. We have older kids so three seperate bedrooms were great and made use of the grill and deck for enjoying the views.
Is a little way from the dock and pool walking, but all things considered a great stay.

It was definitely a very relaxing stay just as advertised! It was a bit ways away from attractions and such, but not too far! The cabin was very clean and ready when we got there! Very easy accessible! The only negatives were that the light in living room didn’t work and we couldn’t get the tv to work in main bedroom, but we made due! Overall, it was a very good stay, I’d highly recommend!

Very nice house, peaceful scenic location. Lots of space in the home. The beds are quite uncomfortable and noisy.
Difficult to get up the mountain, very treacherous roads, not easy to get to the pool.
The jacuzzi is wonderful. The games are broken and missing pieces, they need updated.
Overall a good vacation spot with a few issues. It should be highlighted that getting up the road is a nail-biting experience if you aren't used to Tennessee mountains. Make sure your car insurance is up to date.

Loved the cabin, it was very nice, just as described. Very clean and well furnished. The only downside was distance from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge mainly because of the very curvy, narrow roads to get to the cabin. I'm also thankful we didn't meet a vehicle on the road the cabin was on but we got used to all of this and the quiet, private space was pleasant.

We enjoyed our relaxing stay at fox retreat. It was the cleanest rental we have ever used. Everything we needed was there. The sunset views from the porch were awesome, with cool breezes and no bugs! We would definetely stay here again.

We travel to Douglas Lake several times a year. We live in a log home and always look to stay in one when we travel. This cabin far surpassed our expectations for the price. Well stocked, clean, and comfortable. Owner is always available for questions. We will definitely stay again!

My family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Fox Retreat! The owners were easy to work and their listing described the cabin to a tee. We loved it! It was very comfortable, pretty, and clean, with space for my teens to spread out. We enjoyed the table on the deck for evening meals and a nightly dip in the hot tub! The wifi was also super-fast! An added bonus! Douglas Lake Resort was a peaceful locale, as well. Even though there were other cabins around, they were well-spaced for privacy, and it was wooded to make you feel like you were all alone. The trees did obscure most of your view of the mountains, but the drive into the resort was a pretty one, with plenty of views of the Smokies. The only small negative would be the drive to Gatlinburg & the National Park (it took us about 40 minutes to get to the park), but we enjoyed staying out and away from all the traffic & hubbub. We'd definitely come back! Thank you!

The cabin was very clean and well kept. The porch was a great place to sit and read, have coffee in the morning...and sit in the hot tub in the evening. It is very convenient to area attractions. Bill and Pam did everything they could to make sure everything went well. I would definitely go back.

Only disappointment was that the hot tub only had one properly working jet. This is one of our main priorities when booking a cabin. According to the previous party, they had the same comment written in the logbook located in the cabin.
