For the past 10 years my family and I pick different cities for our family vacation. We always stay in a VRBO that will sleep at least 12. All enjoyed our stay here - many things for the children to do inside/outside. This is a fabulous place to stay and we all decided it was our favorite property throughout the 10 years.

While this property would have been an ok place to stay, there was a distinct cigarette smell inside the property when we arrived and five minutes later we left the property and did not continue with our stay. I'm certain the past renters created this problem, not the owner, but we were only refunded $110 dollars out of $2,000 and the owner continually said the property did not smell. Myself and two other crew members on our team disagreed and had to find lodging in a nearby town last minute. If they get the cigarette smell out of the property it would be an ok place to stay. Vrbo was not able to refund us any money as they said it was up to the owner to decide. So hard to prove a smell with a phone camera, so we, the renters, were out of luck here.

We LOVED spending two nights in this adorable river home! The space is huge and decorated so well. We spend a moms weekend there but definitely would go back with our kids. They have everything there thay you need and communication with the owner was amazing

This was a great property to have a weekend getaway with friends! We loved the beautiful view of the lake! The house was clean and very comfortable to stay in. We would highly recommend this property. We loved that it was close to downtown Omaha to be able to do things there, but had beautiful outdoor space to enjoy. We would stay here again :)

Very comfortable stay at the river lodge. Big deer, turkeys, and even a beaver were spotted. Cozy and quiet with plenty of room to stretch out.

Our host was super at communication, the house was easy to access and we felt right at home from the minute we walked in. We enjoyed coffee watching the wildlife near the river (turkeys, deer, and a beaver!), and of course used the wonderful fire pit to roast s'mores. With an 18 month old, safety is key, and the house was kiddo proof, making it relaxing despite having a little one. With family living in Omaha, we will very likely rent this again when in town to visit.

We had friends visiting from out of town for reunion events. It was the perfect spot to sit and catch up, and have everyone stay together. The property had a great view of the river, was beautifully kept. The hosts were very helpful and made the process extremely easy. Several guests said that they’d like to book this property in warmer months to take advantage of the river access. Highly recommend!!

It was a beautiful home that had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the open space and comfort of home. We would defiantly rent there again in the future.

Our stay was better than expected. We loved the cleanliness and openness of the home. We flew in from Florida to host Christmas Day with our Nebraska kids and grandkids. The views from the living room were picturesque. I would highly recommend this location. And Julie’s communication was prompt and very helpful.

My friends and I booked this house for a bachelorette party and it was perfect! Plenty of space, the river was right there so we had incredible views, and so comfy!

We had a great time! The house was perfect for us girls... especially loved sitting outside on the porch in the morning watching the river and drinking coffee! Julie was great to work with and was very responsive when we had any questions. Will be renting again!!

Amazing stay for a group of moms to get away for a weekend! The scenery was gorgeous, the house was stunning, and Julie was amazing! Highly highly recommended for a group of gals to get away, or even for a family weekend!

The upstairs bedrooms were nice for young grandkids who go to bed early so adults could stay up and play games or chat. The boys loved the bunk beds. The kids also loved seeing all the animals by the river. Saw a beaver on the shore of the river and the turkeys walked right outside the back windows. Very peaceful location yet less than 30 minutes from the Omaha Zoo and the children’s museum.

This lovely home by the river was a perfect vacation getaway for our family. The backyard and patio overlooking the river was nothing but peaceful and soothing to the soul. The house was very clean and our host was very accommodating and friendly. The attractions at Omaha were just minutes away. We will be back!

My friends and I stayed here for a girl’s weekend and had so much fun! The house is backed up to the woods with a nice sized yard. The host was very accommodating. The river was incredibly low when we visited, which was a bummer, but obviously out of the host’s control. Would recommend!

The description of the property is accurate, but the host, Julie, has gone above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. There are condiments, spices, baggies, and all kinds of cooking utensils. We enjoyed watching deer, wild turkeys, herons, and eagles in the yard and along the river. The house is close enough to enjoy all that Omaha has to offer as well.

This house was a great way for our two farming families to enjoy the big city of Omaha! Yes it is about a 20 minute drive to the major Omaha sites such as the zoo and children's museum; but to us it was worth it to be able to come back and have a big yard for the kids to play in and have access to the river! We were able to hit up the sites and still have the peace and quiet we love about country life! Neighborhood is a little "backwoodsy" but it was very quiet and had very little traffic!

We had a great stay at Julie’s property! This had everything we needed and more for our 3 younger kids. Loved fishing and the peace and quiet! Will be back!

Our family had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for everyone and a beautiful view of the river. We enjoyed tubing down the river, fishing, and nature views.

Beautifully arranged for maximum relaxation. We came to the area for a family reunion and during our various activities we always were content to return to the house, sit on the patio and watch the flowing river. Everything we needed was there and Julie was responsive and available to answer questions. An overall great experience!

This VRBO had all of the amenities for a girl who loves the outdoors but also like to take a warm shower and sleep in a bed with air conditioning! This space was perfect for our group of ladies to get away from the daily grind!

This property was the perfect midway point for a short family reunion. The kids loved playing by the river and seeing the wildlife. It was a quiet, secluded, and updated property. Plus it was super convenient for going into Omaha and hitting up the zoo. We would definitely recommend this property and stay here again!

Our family was in town for the 13U World Series. The location was private, yet the perfect distance to the CWS, and the fields we played on in Omaha and Council Bluffs. My family and I love nature and this place had turkey, deer, tons of fish, plus direct access to the Elkhorn River. Fishing and floating were the best. Looking forward to our next Nebraska trip! Mrs. Julie, your home is beautiful, accommodating, and peaceful. Thank you for the quick responses and sharing your home w/ me and mine.

House was clean. Beautiful setting. Comfortable mattresses. Posh bathroom. The home was very spacious with great natural lighting and beautiful outdoor sitting area.

The pictures don't do this property justice. Such a beautiful and serene view of the river and the house itself was spacious and clean. This house had everything we needed to have a wonderful time and our whole group really enjoyed our weekend here!

A friend and I came to stay for 3 days. The weather was cold and rainy but we still had a great time. The house was wonderful. We had 2 adults and 4 kids. Plenty of room. The view was great even though we stayed indoors msot of the time. Really the view was everything. We loved watching the river and looking at the secenery. The yard is adorable. The place was easy to find. The host is very kind. Updating us about everything. Clean up was easy. Easy check in, she gave us all the info we needed with all the privacy of a contactless check-in. We will definately be back to rent when its a bit warmer. Thank you!!!

We had a wedding to attend in Omaha so we rented this house for a few days. The kids loved the yard and the sandy river beach. Inside there we lots of little places for them to play and hide. The adults loved the outdoor seating and huge living room. The house was nicely remodeled. It was very comfortable. The owners were quick responding to text messages and very friendly.
