Loved how old it was and the character

Having to walk through the one bedroom to get to the other bedroom and bathroom

Quaint cottage in a lovely village setting. 3 bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Updated kitchen, dining room and living room. Comfortable and nicely decorated. Our hostess left many nice touches for us including chocolates and mulled wine, and replied quickly with advice. Lord Nelson pub across the street with other pubs nearby. Great cottage to come back to after exploring Yorkshire and York. Very easy to get into York by bus or nearby land and ride.

Felt like home rather than holiday rental. Lemon drizzle cake was a nice touch.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Everything had been very well thoughtful through with careful attention to detail. Our host was first-rate and had even made a delicious cake to welcome us.

It was so cosy and homey, we all absolutely loved it. will absolutely come back.

The house is very spacious with 2 reception rooms AND a kitchen big enough to dine in.

You have to go through the large doble bedroom to get to te rest of the upstairs. A screen is provided to 'make' a separate room. It was not an issue for us, but might be for others. There is also no garden at the property but it is in a very pretty village with plenty of green spaces and old houses nearby

We had a wonderful stay at this property and would recommend it to any travellers visiting the area. Karen was a fantastic host, with home baked lemon drizzle cake on arrival and the property was cozy and in great condition. Easy transport links into York and good information provided on the area.

Beautifully clean and a wonderful Yorkshire welcome with cake on arrival! All the facilities one could need .

It would have helped to have know that 1 double bedroom was part of a walk through corridor to the other 2 bedrooms
