Amazing hotel, the room size was so large! Very luxury with a big bathroom and lots of great amenities. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfy. The only downside was that it was a bit far away from the bus stops and train stations.

Beautiful hotel with impeccable service, staff was very helpful in our many guest requests and questions (it was our first time in Kyoto). Shuttle to the subway station was very convenient, from there you can walk to Nishiki market and other shopping places
Walking distance to imperial palace and garden, short drive to city center and many sightseeing places, such as Nijo castle, Gion District, etc.

It was amazing hotel, very nearby to the subway station that links us to kyoto station. In addition the staff are super friendly snd helpful. The room is very clean and comfortable. Most importantly very spacious.
They also have shuttle service from the karasuma oike subway every 20 minutes.
Definitely a must come back hotel.

Hotel was decent and nice, but didn’t have an ATM or convenience/pharmacy.
We spent a great sum traveling to and from Kyoto Station or other stations as it is very far from any restaurants or activities. Not centrally local to anything!! It was a big mistake with hotel choice. Misled by description on site.

The entire stay was amazing! We rented a car to see attractions and the fact that they had parking was perfect for our itinerary. Very polite and friendly staff made this hotel top of my list of places to stay! Would highly recommend eating the buffet breakfast as well.

We have had a fantastic stay at the Kyoto Brighton Hotel. Hotel staff and their quality of service are outstanding. Extremely clean, quiet, conveniently located property. Shuttle Bus to nearest metro station was also of a great convenience. Enjoyed very much and would certainly stay here again on the next visit to this great city. Thank you!

The staff were supper friendly and very respectable. The hotel in my mind is a very high end hotel and they appear to cater to mostly Japneese buisness people.
Only complaint is the fact they dont have any smart TV's so when you wind down for the night there is Nothing to watch or Stream on the TV unless you understand Japanese.
Smorgasbord breakfast was the same each day and as per previous reviews the French toast was great, the eggs are very sloppy but still good.

This was our favourite hotel during our Japan trip. From the moment we arrived, everyone was really friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle to the city centre which is a quick walk to all the wonderful shops. There is so much to explore in Kyoto and Nishiki Market is a must. So is a tour of Kyoto. We loved the mix of the traditional and modern. This hotel offered an amazing afternoon tea (which is another must).
The rooms are wonderful and big. The restaurant choices great. If you don’t fancy that, then there is a small seven eleven just down the road and a quaint coffee shop that serves awesome coffee.
The staff here were pretty friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel is beautiful and a real pleasure to stay in. Great value for money too (at least it was for us).

Excellent overall. It was nice to have free shuttle to karamasu station nearby so convenient to visit all the famous temples. Only minor complaint is the AC blowing near the 4th bed next to window which cause my head to feel hot and cold so I had to move to bed away. Also need bigger brighter LED for more light near the desk for reading.

This hotel is more of a western style than Japanese. It made a nice change for us in Japan as a family of four, as we could all comfortably fit in the large family room with four generous beds. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. You also have an option of how much you want your room cleaned each day, which is an excellent feature. It seems so unnecessary to have all your bedding changed every day.
The breakfasts were very nice with a wide choice of food from cereal and fruit to beef curry and rice! You can also have eggs cooked to order. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
The hotel also has a courtesy bus to take you closer to downtown Kyoto and return back. It’s runs every 20 mins and, like everything in Japan, runs on time and is reliable. We used this every day.
