very nice hotel within short walking distance to lots of cool places including the hustle and bustle of Chinatown, just a few blocks away. The staff was very professional, and the view from our room was spectacular!

Great location and wonderful staffs

I would stay at the Hotel New Grand again. The property is immaculate. The staff very friendly. The location near the harbor and the view were phenomenal. The NORMANDIE Restaurant was very nice and we ate breakfast there each day while staying in the hotel.

Services by staff were excellent~~ very kind warm and shows willingness to help whatever I asked.

Very attentive staff at a classic location. Great location next to ship terminal, park, Chinatown, and the waterfront. Excellent restraints on site, and lots of less expensive options close by. Highly recommend.

Easy access to the cruise port

As soon as we walked across the street to the hotel, a porter came to assist us with our luggage. He walked us up to the counter to get checked in. Even though we did not know any Japanese, we were able to get through check in easily. After getting the keys, another employee took us up to the room while another porter took our luggage and met us at the room. The service was excellent. The hotel was clean. The AC was working properly. The property was 3 blocks from Chinatown. There is a shuttle bus from HND that stops next to the hotel. This hotel was a great stay for our family and we would come back here again.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The.room is very nice and specious . 2 Suggestions : 1. Need exhaust fan in the bathrom to elimnate the humidity or smell after shower or using the bathroom . 2. With such price range per room , the hotel should offer breakfast included or at a more reasonable rate, definitely not for 5000yen.!!

We stayed at the older (classical) building with its original history. All the decor was perfect, except for its shower and toilett which looked a bit tired and somehow less functional. Service was excellent ! Worth to come back.

The staff is outstanding. We had an amazing view of the harbor and gardens from our room. There is a very large and beautiful park across the street from the hotel. The area is very walkable and close to public transportation.

The view was spectacular.

This is a hotel with a lot of history, and the service is what you would expect of a famous and historic hotel; however, it is (or, rather, the rooms are) badly in need of an upgrade. I must have been given a "gaijin room," because it had both 9 and 4 in the room number, and the carpet was pretty marked up (probably from guests not removing their shoes). The furnishings were also old and tattered-looking, and the overall condition was that of a room that had seen better days.

The property was as expected.. The stay was great.

Great location, airport shuttle bus stop within 5 minutes' walk. China town is 5-10 minutes' walk. subway station is very close. Hotel staff are very polite and helpful. We will stay again.

Wonderful harborside property across the street from a beautiful park and just a couple blocks from Yokohama's China Town. The staff are very cordial and provide excellent service. Only issue is the beds are small and too firm.

Just as I envisioned- had a memorable stay, with room overlooking Yamashita koen/Hikawa Mari.

The Hotel New Grand is a historical landmark in Yokohama. The location is hard to beat. It’s across the street from Yamashita Park, blocks from China Town, the International cruise terminal, 15 minute walk to Yokohama Stadium and good access to train system. Only down note is Hotel. Ew Grand needs to upgrade pillows, they were extremely uncomfortable.
