Clarion is spacious, perfect for family. Location is fantastic, close to Sealife. Everything is within reach.

The location was great - close to our shared workspace office in Melbourne close to good food. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Comfortable rooms however the river view also means it has train noise. Welcoming staff. Great restaurant and deals through Hotels.com

Everything was easy and ready

A very nice hotel. Its in a noisy area but the room is very well soundproofed. 3 tram stops nearby which is handy. No complaints.

Fantastic stay at the hotel, staff were welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is great value. Appreciate the easy connection to public transport. The only negative was the extremely poor wifi connection in the room very slow and constantly dropping out. I was only using it for emails and socials. Eventually they replaced the modem and then another. Slight improvement but definitely not what one expects. I ended up having to hotspot my phone to get work done. This needs to be addressed and while staff were sympathetic I really don’t think they understood the frustration thus caused (one person suggested I must be steaming videos).

Onsite parking made it alot easier with deciding on choosing to stay here, might of been $30 a night but it was secure so i was happy to pay it, room was clean and the pool on level 5 was slightly heated which was great, just wish it was deeper in some parts of it, overall if i end up back in melbourne again i reckon i'll stay here again

Staff was very helpful. Hotel was safe and welcoming. Room was great. We had a king suite, that had a large living room, large kitchen, and dining table. It was like a small apartment. Even had a washer/dryer.

Room was business hotel basic, very simple but clean and comfortable. Pool was fantastic but there were no towels, you had to bring your towel down from your room. I booked the room with room service advertised but there was instructions once i checked into the room that i had to order then go down to the restaurant in lobby and collect myself so i chose to eat elsewhere. Great location, room was generous size, great view of the trains and the river. Would definitely stay again. Complimentary cookie was a lovely touch. Staff were nice but not friendly. Would love to stay here in summer and hope they open the side doors in pool area for fresh summer nights. Bathroom was ok, very basic and maybe the rooms need a freshen up but very good for the price. Only downside was Wifi was not secure so be aware of that risk. Would recommend though. Enjoyed my night there

Checking in was odd, the man checking us in gave misogynistic incel vibes. I was polite to him but he didn't seem to be having it or maybe he had just had a bad day I'm unsure. The room we got checked into looked nothing like the room we had booked I'm unsure if this is a miscommunication due to booking through hotels.com or the guy being spiteful and putting us in the worst possible room he could. We had choose this hotel and room because it was supposed to have to have a bath both me and my partner have disabilities that involve having chronic joint pain that soaking in a bath helps to elevate and we knew we would get flare ups from walking around the city. The room we were placed in not only had no bath but a the sink was in the room outside of the bathroom where it was carpeted, a very odd choice. I saw no photos like this when booking if I had I would of booked elsewhere.

Great hotel, spacious rooms

Had a room facing the river, it was spectacular at night. Had infant cot ready for us too. The stay was better than expected. We’d definitely go back next time. Our only problem is hotel parking; they should invest in a better intercomm coz we can hardly hear them.

Excellent location! We could walk all around the city and Southbank. We stayed in the one bedroom suite river view and it was awesome! Much bigger than we expected with great facilities

Great location, walkable to most things, easy access to trams. Rooms were large and airy. Very comfortable. Loved the little balcony great to get some fresh air. It was made very safe travelling with a toddler with a high chain on the door. Kitchen had everything you needed. Only thing that could be improved is that the bathroom is getting a bit dates and due a refurb.

We love this place. Convenient location. The room has a kitchenette, office desk, comfortable bed.

This was our second time staying at Clarion Suites Gateway. The location is fantastic, close to trams, casino, central Melbourne. The room was comfortable, clean, parking is also available.

Staff were amazing and always willing to provide VIP treatment. A pleasurable stay.

Our stay was very good. The stand out for us was the kindness of the staff. From the front desk through to the breakfast crew every body was so friendly.

River views are terrific, but come with noise from the trains. Good coffee in hotel cafe.

The staff were the stand out. Front desk and Krystal in the cafe. Made a huge difference being greeted when we were walking through the lobby.

The room was fantastic, car park has very steep ramps, and the attached restaurant took quite a long time from first to last entrees arriving, but the food was very nice when it arrived, but overall a great place to stay.

Excellent stay which included these 2 nights and the 6 nights previous that have already been evaluated. A special mention for the restaurant, the service and the food were outstanding. We ate there 6 out of the 8 nights. Pretty good in a city renowned for its restaurants.
