We had a great stay at Gilmer. It is situated well in the CBD close to restaurants, shops, and the harbor. The apartment was clean and spacious for two, and having a washer was helpful at this point in our trip. Parking was easy, though there are limited spots.

One night stay after getting off the ferry. Extremely convenient, especially as I could choose a room with parking. Pleasantly surprised by facilities. Good value and helpful friendly staff.

Staff attitudes are wonderful friendly helpful. Clean bed and sheets.great housekeeping staff. But roof leaked onto stairwells for 3days from rain Maintenance work made carpet floors dirty in common area. Night time noises due to homeless people in neighbouring parking lots.

Gilmer apartment hotel Wellington. It was spacious and well equiped. Really appreciated the fan and the fast free wi fi. Would stay there again.

Affordable central city units tucked on a hill (floors a little undulating) next to high rise office blocks, I had a little sunshine soak in the morning through one bedroom window. Lovely staff, friendly and helpful.

Hard bed. All fixtures are cheap quality. None of the cutlery or crockery matched. Wouldn't stay here again. Although staff were friendly helpfull. 1 tiny window made room claustrophobic. Only a panel heater that needs attention to temperature settings.

Good location close to shopping and facilities. Nice reception staff. Nice room, well equipped except for no plug in the bathroom sink. The lack of instructions in Expedia on walking access from lampton quay was a little annoying

Limited hot water supply per day...not adequate for a family of 4. Tough to walk to grocery store due to location of property. Washer & Dryer all in one. Convenient to have in unit but did not work properly.

Had a great stay here. Ideal location right in town with on-site parking close to the front door. Bed was very comfy and the pillows were ideal. Very nice body wash and shampoo. Loved the layout of the apartment. Nice to have a washer and dryer too (however it's very slow).

Loved staying the Gilmer! The staff were the absolute best and even let us check in early which was a big plus for us as we were tired and had walked a long way! For the price I had paid, it was really reasonable with all the basic facilities.

Transport i.e buses not super close but a few minutes walk away.
Mould near the shower heads and other parts were a bit dirty - easily fixable.
Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends. Thank you for the memory!

Great place! Great stay, no complaints really just if anyone who needs salt, bring salt. I have pots and needed it, couldnt get any or see any. Not a super big problem though, supermarket had some which is less than 2 mins walk.
And a slightly wobbly pan but honestly i cannot complain at all.

Excellent stay, as usual. My only disappointment is the Washer/Dryer. I didn't matter what setting I used, I couldn't get my clothes to dry properly.

pre paid for 3 nights....2 nd night were kept awake with loose roofing .....moved out ....no refund for 3 rd night ....only offered a free night on another trip.........but of course wouldn't be at this place ......avoid

Only suggestion ...
Daily Room cleaning after 4pm is too late, as often your 'quiet' time before going for dinner. I understand they need to do the rooms being vacated first, but leaving the others till the afternoon is an issue.

For my group the option of bedrooms was good and this is why we choose to stay there.
The directions for cutting thru carpark were unclear at the start but got it sorted.

Centrally located within walking distance of downtown Wellington.Easy access both from and to the Motorway/SH 1.Excellent in room facilities enables “in room” dining obviating the need for the expense of restaurants as close close to metro supermarkets for dining ingredients.

Apartment small but entirely functional for our needs as were out and about most of the 6 days we stayed there.
It got easier once we found out how to avoid climbing up the steep Plimmer Steps ( by judicious use of nearby elevators and lift).
Some small improvements would include glassware, crockery and cutlery settings for 4 people ( even though only a 2 person unit). This would allow us to have visitors very occasionally and not to have to wash our dishes quite as often.
Also, the two external window catches needed adjusting or replacing and there was a smell coming from the shower drain sump in the middle of the bathroom floor.
None of the above were majors to us but may not be satisfactory to future guests

I stayed with this hotel on and off throughout the protest in Wellington because they weren’t anti vax. Have always stayed there since. Always clean, always tidy, incredibly helpful and beds are beautiful! Highly recommend
