Very noisy, hot water takes three minutes to arrive in the shower, and they don't clean the room everyday.

Location great but none of staff spoke English. Mattress torn and stained. Much dust under bed.

I was attending the IPSA World Congress held at the Catholic University of Argentina. Hotel Chipre is about a 15 minute walk from campus as well as other points of interest such as the Plaza de Mayo, the Cathedral, and Casa Rosada. It is also right by plenty of markets for food and toiletries. The famous, historical Bar El Federal is down the block of the hotel for a nice night out. Other bars, restaurants, and cafe's are close as well. Mercado San Telmo is also a nice place to go shopping. Overall excellent location and though my Spanish is not the best, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is not a five stars, but if you want have some rest before leaving it’s ok. The area super cool. The stuff will try to cover you all rate taxes included because “they don’t have fotocopy”. Just in case there is a fotocopy shoop 200 metres far.

They try to take advantage of the tourists. A waste of time and money. You don’t get what you’re paying for.

When I booked the room, I emailed the staff asking for a late check-in, once my flight would arrive by midnight, and I would get to the hotel by 2 am. They emailed me back and we agreed that someone would wait for us (my gf and I). When we got there, I rang the bell 3 times or so to get an angry guy telling us that they were closed and I couldnt ring the bell because there were people sleeping. I asked him if he could speak in English and he said no. I tried to explain him that we had a room booked, but he wouldnt listen to me; He just closed the door in our faces, turned his back and left. Luckily for us, there is a Police Station in front of the hotel and there was a kind police officer watching everything. We spoke to her and she intervened and helped us talk to the guy. After he called someone (the manager, I guess), he told us that we were right and that he was sorry for the inconvenience, and placed us on a room (which had no jacks, so we couldnt charge our phones). By the time we woke up, I asked about the breakfast to discover that it was only a croissant and a café au lait. I am definitely unsatisfied with the overall quality of the services and amenities provided. The room and the bathroom were not good and they looked kind of dirty. Also, we were treated very badly, as if we had randomly choose there to stay. Unfortunately, I didnt take any pictures of the place nor the breakfast, but I did take a picture of the Closed sign he put at the door.

I had two bad experiences: at check in I was forced by the person who received me to go and take a fotocopy of my passport in order to avoid local taxes which is by law. I was tired and wanted to rest but I had to go right away for this document. My recommendation would be to ask visitors prior to their arrival to arrive with this documents.
The day I was leaving the internet didnt work at all and I needed to ask for a Uber but as Internet didnt work I suffered a lot and there was no one to help me from the hotel. This means was a bad experience for me staying at this hotel as I almost lose my international flight

It was exactly what we wanted to start off our trip in Buenos Aires. The staff were friendly and spoke English. Its easy to walk to some of the recommended sites

Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. I had been told by taxis drivers the area was quite safe but further down the street you needed to be vigilant. Situated right in front of a police station. Free wifi but not very good in the end/corner rooms. On suite shower was more like a wet room as shower was not separate it had the nozzle coming from the walk almost over the toilet.

We stayed in a private double room with a private bathroom. It was in the back of the hotel and the WIFI did not reach our room. The bathroom did not have a ceiling so there was a lack of privacy. The TV had no reception and was all black and white fuzz. The floor was dirty as our feet were black when we exited the shower. The hotel seems to be managed and run by one employee 24/7. The guy

I think the pictures and name misrepresent what this place actually is. It is a hostel. If you're a college student on a budget that just needs a place to sleep then you might be ok with staying here, but I found the quality way below what I was willing to accept. The sheets were dingy and stained and there was no heating. The entire hostel shared a bathroom, which lacked soap and toilet paper. The information says that this hotel offers continental breakfast, but what I received was 6 crackers (I counted) and a token to get a drink out of the vending machine. I didn't feel like the room was secure. The walls are also paper thin so you can hear everyone's conversation. I called in advance to ask for a remise to pick me up from the airport and was promised one, but when I arrived there wasn't one. When I asked the front desk about it, he said he hadn't been informed. The staff wasn't rude, but I also didn't talk with them much because I didn't want to offend. I left as soon as I found another hotel that was suitable.

Staff were really nice. Place was a bit dirty and some of the doors on the toilets didn't have locks but it was a really good price in good location in San Telmo. Be careful about when you arrive as the sign on the door said that the reception was only open from 12 until 4 on Saturday and not at all on Sunday (other days until 8).

There is no reception at this hotel. I mean is exists, but it works only in the afternoon. In the night and early morning there is nobody, so if you need anything or any quiestion nobody will answer you.I think if yo uarea tourist and you dont know the city, reception is necessary, there you can be helped with all quiestions. In the afternoon sometimes there was a woman that didnt know anything!! she didnt know what bus goes to the center, or any other quiestion. How is it possible if she work at RECEPTION i still dont understand. The shower and restroom is shared( i knew about that), but its really dirty and there is a terrible smell....so...in my opinion the hotels is really leaves much to be desired

The beds stank. No one has cchanged the pillows or matrttesses here in years and they have accumulated perspiration, as of course there is no air in the rooms. Also no toilet paper, so bring your own! The provided breakfast was pitiful. The old lady whoi runs this place also found it necessary to charge an extrfa 25% TAX, even though the booking from hotle.com said the negotiated price included all taxes.
