Very convenient location with a short 5 min walk to the train station. Room is considerably larger than the usual Japanese hotel room with a large bathroom as well. Staff was helpful and very friendly. Nice 7-11 is a block away. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The Almont was outstanding (3 star but service and facilities was like a 4 star). Great locations Anna rooms are spacious and really nice . Very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was amazing! But what impressed me the most is how the staff went out of their way with helping us transport our luggage to the different locations we needed to. I’ll definitively stay at the Almont in all my future trips to Kyoto!

This is a clean, quiet, orderly, comfortable hotel which is modern and well-appointed, but has traditional features such as the public bath on the second floor and a comprehensive Japanese breakfast menu. The staff are exceptionally helpful and infinitely polite and friendly. It is also very convenient for Kyoto Station and for bus routes.

The breakfast is fair. The carpark next to hotel cost 750 Yen because the hotel will give you discount (original 1150 Yen)

In short, this hotel is recommended.

They provide amazing service, including public bath. However, the location is not good. You have to walk at least 10 min to get to the train station or a bus stop. It will be hard during the summer. They provide nice Japanese breakfast, but Western options are limited to a small number of pasteries.

Staff made every process incredibly smooth and enjoyable. The hotel is squeaky clean all around, it’s full of amenities and its location is only a couple of minutes walking from the main Kyoto station.

The greatest service I have ever received from a hotel...greeted with a towel when coming in from the rain, three staff members helped bring up our luggage to the room from storage, a staff member rushed to the elevator to push the button when our hands were full and the complementary Japanese style public bath was a real treat. Construction in the breakfast area prevented breakfast from being served...this hickup was handled to our complete satisfaction. A most delightful three day stay!

A very nice hotel with attentive staff that provided excellent service. Easy self-checkout. We had two rooms and both were neat and clean with comfortable beds. The hotel was conveniently located 8-10 min from Kyoto Station depending on which route you take, and local buses nearby will take you to Kiyomizu-dera and the Gion District.
Three in our party had breakfast, and they unfortunately did not think it was worth the price.
