Dated room but clean, shower malfunction with poor spray direction. (Informed manager). Area felt unsafe to walk dog. No grass. Alleys with broken glass. Room large, beds comfortable, excellent coffee in am.

Some of the best sleep I've ever had in a hotel. Friendly staff and efficient checkin. They missed the wake up call. I had my own alarm but I always like to have backup. Wake up calls should be taken very seriously.

It's a budget motel. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was clean well appointed. My only complaint was a mattress protector that squeaked every time you moved.

Great little place with very friendly management. The place is old, but very well maintained. Very clean with new paint and furnishings, plenty of space.

It could have been cleaner Carpets and drapes definitely need cleaning. Bathroom/bathtub had mats/fruit flies, webs in windows. Bed seemed clean and comfy. Front desk was awesome.

Room was clean, and even though it was a pet room, there was no residual pet smell or pet hair. Worth it.
Around midnight, there was other guest talking loudly in front of our door which set my old pug-dog in bark mode.

The owner was so kind to stay awake for a much later than anticipated arrival. She was so sweet and accommodating and made my arrival extremely easy. Great value for money, thank you!

Thunderbird is right off the main street in east Elko, NV. Elko is a simple town connecting SLCto Reno. There is nothing much going on except casino.
The facility is a bit dated, but clean, organized, spacious, and quiet. The hostess is efficient and helpful. The bathroom is well-stocked.

It appears to be in old town, but was clean and quiet. Did not have any unsafe feelings while out for a stroll.

Got early checking, very nice and helpful office. Everything worked, was clean and the pool was great! Nice location!

I needed a last minute booking as I was traveling through the area. Price was good but hotel is sketchy. Upon check-in a couple came in looking to get a room for by the hour deal. Lady was clearly strung out on drugs and man was argumentative with desk host. Host told them they had no vacancy and to go to mid town. Eventually they left but he said it was a common thing and they would let them have to open rooms after 1am. My room had cigarette burns in the sheet and no joking what looked like blood on the wall. Not a place I would take my family. Lobby didn’t open until 8am and I had to be on the road early so no breakfast. You get what you pay for I guess. This place will do in a pinch but I will look for a different option next time.

Great for a one-night stay. The room was clean and the area was safe to walk to downtown Elko and dinner in the early evening. However, this place is not without quirks. There are full-time residents here, one man feeds pigeons in the parking lot. The staff ranges from friendly and competent to surly and annoyed.

I had a noisy room on first floor and the motel owner told me if I didn’t like it to get a room somewhere else, she would not try to accommodate me. I highly recommend to not get reservations at this motel.

Nice friendly staff, breakfast they have waffles, breakfast sandwiches, yogurt fresh fruits and good coffee. Pool was clean and refreshing. I have stayed twice and will stay again.

If you are looking for a place to stay, this place was great. It didn’t have a fancy atrium or fountains or grand architecture, but it was clean, comfortable, and the staff were very pleasant. Zero complaints, and the price was awesome.

Location is great as it’s right in the downtown area. Hotel is in need of a major makeover.. the young man at registration gives the feeling that he does not want to be there and was not friendly at all. I felt that I was bothering him with the few questions I had.

The room smelled of industrial workers and old cigarette smoke. While it was supposed to be a non-smoking room, I have seen plenty of motels like this where workers leave the door of the room open and smoke in the room. I suspect that has been the case with this room. I left my extra clothing in my vehicle and not take them into the room because I did not want them to smell like the room did. I will not stay at this motel again.
