Perfect central location, very clean and quiet.

Very clean and quiet. The pods were great and actually very spacious, they also blocked light well. Check in and out we're quick and easy and I really appreciated being able to store my luggage before check in time.

The bed and room temperature was comfortable however the door opening and closing the entire night kept me up and I got very little sleep. Owners should invest in soft close door and stop the locks from making such a loud sound every time people leave and enter the rooms.

Perfect stay in this hostel! Clean rooms and bathrooms. Beds are very comfy and the largest I had in Australia. This hostel is one of the best I stayed in Australia and I highly recommend!

Overall good value for money. Restroom and showers were clean.

It was fun for the kids, central to where we wanted to explore, short walk to tram, clean and the staff were very friendly.

It was really nice to sleep. To ensure my private space, quite rooms(dining room also) And the Staff was friendly and kind. Just trust me and use this!

I have stay at The Pod many times when I drop by Sydney.The experiences I have had are always good. The staffs are extremely helpful and friendly and were always there if you need anything.The setting of the hostel is perfect and with privacy within your own sleeping area.

This is my second time stay at The Pod. Really great service and cleanliness maintained by the staff. The manager is always keen on offering help during my stay. Would definitely choose the hostel again if I visit.

small number of rooms, just 10 on the 1 floor. good water pressure in the showers. was loud on Saturday night being above a few pubs, it was also Mardi Gras weekend which probably added to the noise. the cleaners did come into the room 3 times whilst we were in the room, without knocking or checking it was okay to come in, that was a bit odd. good location close to shops and Oxford Street for Mardi Gras. can get a bit hot and stuffy and no air conditioning control in the rooms. would stay again, good price

Great location, easy walking distance to Darling Harbour and good transport links. Facilities were great standard for a hostel, cleaned daily, towels and linen provided. Laundry available and good price to use. Only one downside was despite being on 6th floor, could still faintly hear a bar on street level until early hours of first morning (Sunday), possibly wouldn’t have noticed if was sharing a room with others. Overall would definitely stay again.

It didn’t come with a free breakfast, though there was a sharing box and it had spices, cookies, milk. Some music outside, so not the quietest location but not bad. It was very clean and convenient, though more expensive than it was worth. Would stay again but only if I couldn’t find better value (breakfast included for decent price).

It’s well located, with a supermarket a few meters away and plenty of restaurants. It’s between Museum and Central subway stations so that’s convenient. The hostel itself looks good when you first arrive and you can see the employees try their best to keep it presentable. Many problems for me though. First, my mattress was simply not comfortable, it was so used that its shape was all over the place. Then the bedrooms are separated from the lobby/kitchen (same room) by just a door so when people cook, and oh boy do they love cooking. They cook even at midnight or 2 am, which makes your room and bed stink very badly. You’re basically sleeping in the kitchen. All windows can’t be opened so the hostel is not designed for this kind of smell. The employees put fans to help the air move to the air extraction system but it doesn’t work. The lobby/kitchen is cleaned around 9pm but people come and cook long after that so when you wanna make some breakfast in the morning the kitchen is a total mess already. Moreover, the hostel is proud of its silence policy but it doesn’t work either. The closeness of the lobby/kitchen and the bedrooms makes it impossible not to hear people cooking or watching TV. One last thing: the toilets at the entrance of the hostel were not cleaned during my long stay. The floor was disgusting and sticky and stayed that way. Fortunately the toilets inside the hostel were cleaned.

This is the best place in Sydney Central if you just want for a short stay. Just 5minz walk from Central Station. The place is clean and neat. Two thumbs up for the helpfull staffs
